I would like to expand this quote by incorporating the phrase,
Every breath is a chance to begin again.

My name is Aileen Estrom.
I welcome you today as you join me in this breathing meditation for new beginnings and the process of starting again.
The sun sets each evening,
Signifying the closure and the completion of the day.
The sun rises each morning,
Promising us hope for the day ahead.
The exhalation of our breath gives us the opportunity to release and heal.
The inhalation of our breath is an opportunity for a fresh start.
Every time you take a breath,
It is your chance to begin again or start something new.
Our breath is right there reminding us we don't have to wait once we realize the need for change.
Settle in once again.
Feel yourself supported by your chair or the earth.
Reposition your body and find length in your spine.
Notice the air on your skin,
The temperature of the air.
Does it feel warm as if the sun's rays were touching your skin?
Or does it feel cool like the nighttime air?
Keep finding comfort in your body.
Soften the corners of your eyes,
The face,
The shoulders.
Release tension from the jaw.
Become aware of the gentle ebb and flow of your breath as it enters and exits the nostrils.
As you inhale your next breath,
Feel the coolness of the breath,
Like a crisp morning air.
Exhale and feel the warmth of the breath,
Completing the end of the breath cycle.
Cool inhale,
Warm exhale,
Mirroring the dynamic exchange of the sunrise and sunset.
Awareness of the breath as it enters and exits the nose.
Notice where the breath begins and ends and starts again.
Let's shift our focus to the breath in our lungs.
Exhale the breath out and on your next inhale,
Allow the breath to enter your lungs and become aware of the expansion.
As you exhale,
Become aware of the contraction in your lungs.
Inhale and feel the expansion.
Expand upward and outward,
Summoning and awakening you to the start of the breath.
Exhale and feel the breath drawing in and settling down,
Evoking feelings of peace and calm.
Let's go deeper with the breath.
Exhale your breath and on your next inhale,
Encourage the breath to draw up from the roots of your lungs,
A deep full breath in and exhale out fully.
Inhale,
Draw the breath up,
Expand it out as if the sun and its lights were rising higher and higher.
Exhale fully and feel the energy of the setting breath take you to a place of surrender and softening.
Inhale the breath upward and outward,
Shining from the inside out.
Exhale fully,
Softening,
Surrendering.
Feel the soft glow of your breath as it ebbs and flows,
As it rises and sets.
Feel the space you are creating and notice the opening of your heart to new possibilities.
Once again,
Exhale the breath and ease it down to your navel center.
Watch the inhale fill your navel center and the exhale empty it.
Feel the belly rounding on your inhale,
Imitating the shape of the rising yellow sun.
Exhale and empty the belly,
Imitating a rosy orange sunset.
A gentle rise and fall of the breath,
Like the gentle rise and fall of the sun.
Now let's bring the three parts of the breath together into one.
One whole breath,
Symbolizing the cycle of each day.
Release the breath and on this next inhale,
Sip the breath in through the nose,
Feel the lungs expand,
The navel center fill.
Exhale your breath,
Empty the belly,
Contract the lungs and release the breath fully.
All the parts of the breath in unison.
Breathing in the beginning of the breath,
Breathing out the end of the breath,
And noticing the reawakening of a new breath.
Continue to breathe in silence for the next few minutes.
Reflect on the breath as it rises and falls.
Allow the breath to take you from dawn to darkness,
From sun to stars,
From rebirth to renewal.
I'll watch the time and when you hear my voice,
We'll return to the space together.
