Hello,

And welcome to this meditation.

Thank you for taking the time to invest in yourself and care for your energy.

I am going to guide you through a meditation,

A visualisation,

And breath work in order to help guide you into a blissful state of rest.

I know how it feels to have a busy mind,

And helping to empty the mind and to relax helps us to drift off into sleep.

For this meditation,

Please make yourself completely comfortable.

Please lay down on your bed,

On the floor on a blanket,

And support your head in order to feel completely relaxed with me.

I just want you to bring your attention to where your body is connected to the surface,

Through every span top to toe,

Where you are touching your bed,

The couch,

The floor,

Or however you have chosen to relax this evening.

Once you are feeling comfortable,

I would just like you to close your eyes for me.

We are now going to do some deep belly breaths.

This means that we do a deep inhale through our nose,

And then exhale through the mouth,

Like so.

We shall begin with an inhale through the nose,

And then exhale.

Inhale through the nose,

And then exhale.

Inhale through the nose,

And then exhale.

And then one last inhale.

Hold it in your stomach for a little longer,

And then exhale.

I hope that you are now feeling grounded and present in the moment with me.

Keeping your eyes closed,

I just want you to imagine that you are laying down on a lily pad.

I just want you to feel the span of the lily pad beneath you,

And think of the water that this lily pad is floating on.

It's a river.

On this river,

You are slowly bobbing side to side,

Just gently floating along this river,

Laying down on your lily pad.

It's a very calm river this evening.

It's not rushing.

It doesn't need to be anywhere.

This is a river of the night time,

Aiding you in your rest.

In your mind's eye,

See the stars shining above you,

Like tiny pinholes of light in the sky.

They are guiding you as you begin to drift across the river,

Laying on your lily pad.

I want you to remember your breathing.

I want you to inhale through your nose,

And then exhale through the mouth.

Do this breathing gently as you lay down on your lily pad on the river.

Bring your awareness to your body.

Feel to the ends of your fingers,

To the tips of your toes,

And the top of your head.

As you picture this river carrying you across the night on its surface,

I want you to feel the stillness in your body right now.

I want you to feel into the sensation of being so completely still that it is the world around you that is moving.

It is the stars and the clouds of the night sky that are drifting across.

It is the ripples of the river that carry you that are moving.

And as you rock gently from side to side,

Breathing in through your nose,

And then exhaling through the mouth,

You are melting into your lily pad.

You are being carried across this river.

You are being held by the current.

You are being guided by the stars.

You are safe.

You are safe.

You are safe.

You are so safe that if you were to fall asleep on this lily pad,

You would wake up to the most glorious sunshine above you.

You would wake up on a river as calm as you are feeling this very moment.

You are safe.

You are safe.

You are safe to fall asleep and dream the night on this river carrying you on your lily pad.

I just want you to keep your eyes closed.

I just want you to inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

And one last time before we close this meditation,

Deep breath through the nose.

Hold it in your stomach for me.

And then exhale slowly.

As you open your eyes gently,

I just want you to bring your attention back into the room.

I want you to feel where your body is connected to the floor,

The bed,

The couch.

I want you to wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes.

Then rock your body from side to side and bring your awareness back into the room.

Laying there now in a relaxed,

Renewed state.

I want you to feel that river below you,

Helping you to drift,

Helping you to relax and helping you to have the most rejuvenating sleep.

Thank you for participating in this meditation and may you have a very restful night.
