The Oldest Light You'll Ever See

I have loved looking at the stars for as long as I can remember. There is something about the night sky that has always filled me with awe, a feeling of connection I could never quite explain. The light reaching us from distant stars has travelled across space for hundreds, thousands, sometimes millions of years. And the very elements that make up our bodies were once forged within stars. This reflective journey is an invitation to look up, to experience the wonder of our universe, and to remember that we have never been separate from it. We are part of its extraordinary story.

The oldest light you may ever see. Is a star. Some of the starlight reaching your eyes tonight began its journey hundreds, Thousands, Even millions of years ago. Long before cities. Before history. Before the first human story was ever written. That light had already begun traveling across the universe. It crossed unimaginable distances. Passing through darkness. Through silence, Through space so vast. Our minds struggle to comprehend it. And after all that time. It arrives. Inside your eyes. There is something extraordinary about that. When we look up at the night sky. We are not simply looking across space. We are looking back through time. Every star becomes a messenger from another moment. It's like carrying a story that has traveled longer than any of us can imagine. Perhaps that is why the stars have always fascinated us. They have guided travelers across oceans. Mark the changing seasons. Inspired stories, Songs, Paintings. Questions. They have reminded us that even across impossible distances, Connection. Is still possible. Perhaps that is also why standing beneath a sky full of stars can make our own worries feel different. Not because they disappear. But because for a little while. We remember how vast life really is. The light arriving here tonight has traveled for longer than our entire civilization has existed. And somehow. After all that time. It finds us. Perhaps wonder. Has always been waiting above us. We simply have to remember. To look up.

"We are all stars wrapped in skin, the light you are seeking has always been within." ~ Rumi

A beautiful reflection, Niamh. The light the Universe offers us from the stars, the moon and the sun gives us the ability to shine through our life stories, glow as we let-go, and illuminate our inner strength and interconnectedness.

"Once we were particles of Light. Now we are Beings of Light, radiating Love." ~ Rumi
