This week's meditation deals with transitions.
Autumn is a time of transitions,
A time where we move from the times of summer begins to cool down the trees' leather leaves as we prepare for the long winter ahead.
So take some time now and get yourself comfortable.
You can do this meditation seated or lying down,
Doesn't matter.
Moving and stretching and settling in.
Just as the light as life begins to settle down into fall.
And the leaves begin to lose,
The trees begin to lose their leaves.
Take a cleansing breath here.
Inhale through the nose,
Sigh it out the mouth.
Sigh.
Bring the focus inward.
Come into yourself.
Quietly,
Softly,
And peacefully.
Take a minute and just be,
Be with yourself.
Imagine if you can.
Being the way you are with this peace and quiet in nature on an autumn day.
Reflect on the changes in nature in the autumn.
Draw in a deep breath,
A breath of cool,
Crisp autumn air,
Air that just not that long ago held the heaviness of heat and humidity in it.
This air feels purifying and refreshing.
Reflect on the transition of the leaves,
The green leaves that give way to the magnificent hues of fall.
From green to red,
From green to orange,
From green to golden.
And as the leaves change their color before your very eyes,
Reflect for a moment on what you might want to change.
Reflect now for a moment on the next transition of the leaves.
Imagine them letting go of their branches and gliding seamlessly to the ground,
Silently falling.
And as they transition,
Reflect on what you might need to let go of in your life.
Sit with these reflections.
Sit with how autumn and its beauty and changes lives in you.
Come to the awareness of how Autumn lives and breathes in you.
And give thanks for the ability to change.
For if there's one thing you can count on,
It's the life is filled with change.
Take a cleansing breath here.
Inhale through the nose and sigh it out the mouth.
And you can begin to wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Move your hands,
Move your feet,
Bring your awareness back into your body,
Back into your limbs,
Taking this feeling of gratitude for change with you in your life.
Namaste.
