Welcome to this morning's yoga class.
It has been signed to be beginner friendly.
You do not need any props.
And the goal of the class is to be able to wake up your body and begin the day.
So to start,
Please stand on your mat.
Feet underneath your hips,
Roll your shoulders back.
You're going to take a deep breath in.
But when we do our in-breath,
We're going to be doing it in three parts.
So first part,
You're going to breathe in,
Bring your hands directly in front of you.
Breathe in,
Bring hands out to the side.
Breathe in,
Bring hands above your head.
And breathe out and bend forward and bring your hands down to your feet if you can.
All right,
Roll your spine and come back up into a stand position.
And let's do that again.
Breathe in.
Breathe in,
Breathe in and breathe out.
Roll your spine up and come into a standing position.
Breathe in.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
We're going to do it two more times.
Roll your spine into a standing position and breathe in,
Breathe in,
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
And one last one,
Roll your spine,
Come into a standing position and breathe in,
Breathe in,
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
And we're going to stay here in the forward fold for a few minutes.
You can reach up and grab your elbows and take a deep breath in.
And breathe out and relax deeper into the pose.
If you need to,
You can bend your knees slightly.
You.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Breathe out and slowly lower your hands down to the mat.
Then make sure that you are lengthwise on your map.
Walk your hands forward.
Step your feet back.
Bring your knees down.
Lassen your feet.
Bring your elbows down and then lower your body.
Into sphinx pose and have a look up.
Make sure your elbows are underneath your shoulders.
Relax your feet.
And we're going to hold here in sphinx pose for a few breaths.
Remember to breathe.
Nice and deep in and out if you feel your mind is beginning to wander Come back to your breath.
Okay,
Take a nice deep breath in.
With that,
Let me know what you have done tonight.
Bring your hands underneath your shoulders.
And gently push yourself up onto your knees.
Bring it so that your big toes are touching.
Bring your knees out.
To the edges of your mask.
Walk yourself back to sit on your feet.
We're going to go into a wide leg child's pose.
So keeping your spine as straight as possible and bending forward from your hips,
Use your hands.
To walk yourself forward.
If you do have a balsa or a pillow or a block that you need to support your head,
Go ahead and do that.
Alternatively,
You can use your hands,
Form fists with your hands and bring your forehead down to your fists.
And if you are able to walk your hands forward and bring your forehead all the way down to the mat.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Breathe out and relax into the pose where we hold you for a few breaths.
.
.
You.
You you Bye.
I love you.
Take a nice deep breath in.
As you breathe out,
Lift your head,
Walk your hands back.
And lengthen your spine as you come up.
Again,
Come up onto all fours,
Swing your legs out from underneath you and then come back to sit on the mat.
And we're going to be doing butterfly pose.
So bring the bottoms of your feet together.
Take your hands and clasp them underneath your feet.
And then just slowly let your legs drop open.
Keeping your spine nice and straight,
Take a deep breath in.
Breathe out,
Lean forward slightly from the hips.
We're just going to hold here for a few breaths.
Take a moment,
Make sure you're in the zone.
Pose as comfortably as possible.
Remember with Yin Yoga,
You don't want any pain or discomfort.
We're not here to hurt ourselves.
We're here to restore and heal ourselves.
Thank you.
All right.
Take a nasty breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Slowly bring your knees up.
You can use your hands for support.
Bring your feet flat to the mat.
And keeping your knees bent.
Bring your arms out in front of you.
Roll your spine and gently come down into laying position.
Hug your knees into your chest.
We're going to be doing a supine twist,
So bring your hands up.
And out in a T formation.
Take a deep breath in.
Breathe out and drop your knees over to the left hand side.
And turn your head to look at your right hand.
And we're going to hold you up for a few breaths.
If your knees can't make it all the way to the ground,
You're welcome to support them using a bolster or a pillow or even a block.
You Take a nice deep breath in.
Breathe out,
Lift your knees and come to centre,
Bring your head to centre.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Drop your knees down to the right and turn to look at your left hand.
And we're going to hold you up for a few breaths.
Take a nice deep breath in And as you breathe out,
Come back to centre.
Hug your knees into your chest.
We're now going to go into happy baby pose.
So you're going to take your elbows and bring them to the insides of your knees.
Bring your feet up,
Take your hands to the tops of your feet and around to the side.
So that you can hold nicely onto your feet and gently pull them down towards your chest.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Breathe out and relax into the pose as we hold here for a few breaths.
Want to,
You can.
Swing slightly from side to side for a bit of a back massage.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Lower your feet.
You can slowly bring them down to the mat and lengthen out your legs.
We're going to get ready for Shavasana,
Final resting pose.
Let your feet pull apart naturally.
Palms at your side,
Hands palms facing up.
Bring your shoulders away from your neck.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
If you feel safe and comfortable to do so,
You can lower your gaze or close your eyes.
We're just going to rest here for a moment and allow our bodies to absorb all the good work we have just done for it.
Okay,
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you breathe out can bend your knees.
Roll over onto your side.
Use your hand to push yourself up into a seated position.
Bring your hands in prayer in front of your heart.
Thank you so much for joining me here today and know that I appreciate you.
Go well.
Namaste.
