Hello beautiful soul!

Welcome to Peaceland Haven.

I'm your guide Natalie Brown.

In today's guided song meditation to the lyrics of Stand by Me by Ben E.

King,

We are going to meditate on trust.

Trust in self and trust in others.

Due to copyright law,

I won't be playing the song under the meditation.

Before we begin,

Please find a quiet space where you will feel comfortable and you won't be disturbed.

This could be in a seated position with a tall spine,

Legs crossed or planted on the floor.

Also feel free to do this meditation in a chair or lying down.

The most important thing is for you to be as comfy as possible.

Are you ready?

Let's begin!

When the night has come and the land is dark and the moon is the only light we see.

No,

I won't be afraid.

No,

I won't be afraid.

Just as long as you stand by me.

So darling,

Darling,

Stand by me.

Stand by me.

If the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall or the mountain should crumble to the sea.

I won't cry.

I won't cry.

No,

I won't shed a tear.

Just as long as you stand.

Stand by me.

And darling,

Darling,

Stand by me.

Stand by me.

Stand now.

Stand by me.

Whenever you're in trouble,

You can stand by me.

Stand by me.

Stand now.

Stand by me.

Trust.

Trust is such a beautiful thing.

We often think or speak about it,

But what does it really mean to you?

By definition,

Trust is a firm belief in the reliability,

Truth,

Ability,

Or strength of someone or something.

It takes faith and practice to know you can trust in yourself,

To be supportive of yourself.

It also takes trust to be vulnerable and trust others and to be there for others as a trustworthy person.

Do you trust yourself?

Do you trust a higher power?

Do you trust other people,

Your family,

Your friends,

Your partner?

Developing strong trust within yourself is really important.

Learning to trust yourself and your instincts is a building block for healthy self-esteem.

Learning to trust others is a healthy building block of vulnerability.

So,

Let's explore this together.

So often,

We're pulled by the people in our lives who want us to fit into their mold.

And so often we're pushed by the scripts we've been handed,

Expected to do what we're told.

But deep down inside,

You feel it in your stomach.

And in the center of your heart,

You know what is right and wrong.

So breathe in deeply and find the courage and deep-rooted trust to act.

To act on the truth that will carry you along.

Trust will grow deeper every time you choose to act on that wisdom inside.

You'll prove to yourself over and over and over again that intuition is your best guide.

Even when you're scared,

Even when you doubt,

Surrender to what you know to be true.

Mistakes will happen.

Failures will come.

But they'll teach you more about you.

So be here with yourself,

In this moment,

Right now.

And connect down deep within.

Trust what you hear,

What you feel and who you are.

And you will always win.

Okay,

Let's just take three deep,

Nourishing breaths right now together.

Breathe in deeply from your nose,

Filling your lungs up with precious,

Beautiful air.

And go ahead and exhale through your mouth.

And this time I want you to take a little bit of a deeper breath.

Breathe in through your nose.

Beautiful,

Life-giving air.

Fill your lungs up and release it out through your mouth.

And then let's take one more breath,

Even deeper this time.

See if you can fill all of yourself up with your breath.

Go ahead and breathe in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.

And just rest for a moment with your body full of beautiful,

Precious air.

Feeling the blood,

The oxygen,

Revitalizing every part of you.

Thinking about trust.

Thinking about how you trust yourself.

How you can listen to your intuition.

And just lie here and rest for a moment.

Let's turn our focus to allowing vulnerability so that we can trust others.

You hear a voice saying,

Come inside my love and let yourself rest here.

Imagine your heart opening,

Releasing all of you out into the world.

Allowing the energy of others to support you.

Look closely,

Past your fears of what others will say or do,

And see the love,

The connection,

The light.

See the comfort your connection to others brings.

Your body vibrates with aliveness as it receives back the love and expands even more.

Be here in this feeling,

This vulnerable openness of your heart.

Come inside my love and let yourself rest there.

Now take a few moments to bathe in the trust you have explored today.

As the chime rings and you come back to the present moment,

Remember to take this trust in yourself and in others with you into the world as you go.

May it truly be a beautiful one.

Thank yourself for taking the time to take care of you and deepen your practice of trust today.

Until we meet again,

Take care of your soul,

Love yourself,

Know you are loved,

And show love to others.

Until next time,

My friends.
