Let yourself arrive as you are.
There is nothing you need to solve right now.
Just allowing your body a moment to slow down after the day.
You might like to close your eyes or simply soften your gaze.
And noticing the feeling of being supported where you are.
The chair beneath you.
The bed.
The floor.
Nothing to force,
Nothing to achieve,
Just arriving.
You may notice that parts of your body are still moving at the pace of the day.
Still alert.
Still thinking.
Still holding tension somewhere.
And that is okay.
There is no pressure to suddenly feel calm.
Just allowing yourself to slow down gradually in your own time.
Perhaps noticing the rhythm of your breath.
Without needing to change it.
Letting each exhale feel slightly softer.
And slightly slower.
As though your body is beginning to realize there is nowhere else it needs to be right now.
You might imagine the feeling of warm evening air.
The slower rhythm that arrives as the day begins to settle.
Like standing near the ocean at dusk where everything feels a little less rushed.
Your mind doesn't need to stop completely.
Thoughts may still move in the background.
But perhaps there is a little more space around them now.
Allowing the nervous system to soften without needing to force stillness.
Just resting here for a few moments.
Sometimes the body carries the momentum of the entire day long after it's over.
The conversations,
The stimulation.
The mental noise.
And for these next few moments,
You don't need to keep carrying all of it.
Allowing your shoulders to soften if they want to.
Your jaw unclenching slightly.
Your breath deepening naturally.
Not forcing relaxation.
Just creating enough safety for the body to soften on its own.
You may notice moments of quiet.
Or perhaps simply a little less effort.
Either is enough.
For now,
Letting yourself rest in this pause.
Nothing to prepare for.
Nothing to fix.
Just the rhythm of breathing and the feeling of being here.
If thoughts arise,
They don't need to be pushed away.
Just letting them move through gently,
Like distant waves in the background.
As this practice comes to an end,
There is no need to hold on to any particular feeling.
Just noticing what it feels like to give yourself a moment to slow down.
And when you're ready.
You can gently transition into the rest of your evening,
Bringing whatever sense of softness or steadiness is available right now.
