Today we will be exploring surrendering and letting go by imagining that we are lying on a lake.
Take a moment to settle yourself in a comfortable position.
Listening to the wisdom of your body,
Where does your body want to be right now?
I invite you to bring your attention to the whole of your body.
What is your experience of being in your body today?
And as you become aware of being in your body,
Just noticing whether you are judging this,
Whether you feel resistant to being in your body,
Or whether it feels easy being in your body now.
Can you become aware of being in your body without using language?
What is your actual experience of being you in this body?
Using your body as an anchor to become aware of this moment.
Your body resting on the earth.
Feeling into the sensations between your body and the earth.
Now becoming aware of the sole of your left foot,
The sole of your right foot,
The top of your left foot,
The top of your right foot,
Left ankle,
Right ankle,
Left shin and calf,
Right shin and calf.
Left knee.
Right knee.
Right thigh.
Right thigh.
Left buttock.
Right buttock.
The left side of your pelvis.
The right side of your pelvis.
The left side of your abdomen.
Right side of your abdomen.
The left side of your lower back.
Right side of your lower back.
Right side of your chest.
Right side of your chest.
Left upper back.
Right upper back.
Left shoulder.
Right shoulder.
Left upper arm.
Right upper arm.
Left elbow.
Right elbow.
Left forearm.

The palm of your left hand.
The palm of your right hand.

Become aware of the left side of your neck.
The right side of your neck.
The left side of your face.
The right side of your face.
Become aware of the left side of your head.
The right side of your head.
The whole left side of your body.
The whole right side of your body.
Become aware of both of your legs.
Both of your arms.
Become aware of the whole of your body.
The whole of your body resting on the earth.
Imagine that you are lying on a clear blue lake.
Feeling the whole of your body supported by the water.
Feel the sensations of your skin as it is in contact with the water.
Tune in and do that clarity of the water.
Feel into the peaceful depth of the water.
Become aware of the coolness of the water on your skin.
Noticing the beautiful golden sunlight as it graces your skin.
You will warm the sun on your skin.
Notice what it is like for you laying on this beautiful clear lake.
What is your experience of floating here on your lake?
Notice whether you are laying still on your lake or whether you are floating with the flow of the water.
Allowing yourself to explore this experience.
You want to stay floating with the sun on your skin.
Or would you like to let yourself gently dive underneath the surface.
Becoming curious about your experience.
How does it feel floating on your lake or floating beneath the surface?
Allowing yourself to settle back again floating on the surface.
Allowing the sun on your skin.
Become aware of the sensation of the water on your skin.
Become aware of the coolness of the water on your skin.
That lightness of being able to float on your lake.
Allowing yourself to surrender to the water beneath you.
Floating on your lake and letting go.
Going into the water and to this moment.
And as you exhale bringing yourself back into your body.
Letting that image gently twinkle away from you.
Knowing that you can go back there whenever you wish.
This is your lake.
Feeling back into your body on the earth.
Feeling your body in this moment.
Feeling aware of your legs,
Your arms,
Your torso,
Your face and your head.
And taking a few deeper breaths,
Twinkling your fingers,
Twinkling your toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
