Good morning my fellow morning people.

I hope you are feeling well and that your thoughts are positive.

I am the morning person and you can just consider me your little buddy who helps you start your day in a mentally enhanced way.

Much of what we are focused on in meditation is centered around our own thoughts and feelings and that self-care and focus is so necessary.

Countless times we've all heard something to the effect of act locally,

Think globally,

Or if you want to improve society start with yourself.

And yes those do make sense but I think it is also important to remember that we are not the only ones on earth and the universe of energy and thought is traveled by all of us.

So it is also important to try and understand what another person is thinking and feeling and to become aware of our empathy for others and seek to build that characteristic up in ourselves.

With that in mind we're going to use empathy as our mantra today.

Let's go ahead and get started with our meditation and in doing so put some energy into our empathy tanks.

Go ahead get comfortable.

I like to lie down but you can sit cross-legged or in any spot or position that makes you comfortable.

To get started let's close our eyes and take a few slow deep breaths to clear out the stale air and get some good oxygen flowing.

Let's breathe in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth making sure to blow out all that air but do it slowly.

Let's begin.

Breathe in,

Exhale through the mouth slowly blowing all the air out.

Breathe in again,

Exhale slowly all your air out.

And a third time breathe in.

When you exhale just return to your normal breathing.

Okay now I want you to say our mantra empathy with me seven times out loud then whisper it seven times and then continue repeating it to yourself.

Ready begin.

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy.

Now whisper empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy,

Empathy.

Now continue to repeat the mantra empathy to yourself until you hear the final gong.

If your thoughts drip just go back to the mantra.

The key is not to force it.

Just let your thoughts go and then return back to the mantra empathy.

You you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you sometimes i just want a few more minutes before that gong now i want you to slowly open your eyes taking a few deep breaths and on that exhale go ahead and say the word empathy breathe in empathy one more time empathy thank you for taking the time to meditate with me and all the other morning people may our time together help get your day off with an empathetic heart and may the rest of it be filled with positive thoughts i am the morning person and as always it has been my humble pleasure and i am so grateful you chose to start your day with me so long for now you
