Asking Your Monkey for Help is the fourth exercise in the Misaligned Monkey Challenge. This practice explores a different way of approaching choices, questions and problems. Rather than trying to force an answer, it encourages you to ask clearly, let go, and notice how your Monkey responds to the questions you ask and what begins to emerge over the hours or days that follow. It may be particularly helpful if you've been going round in circles, overthinking, worrying or procrastinating. If you've been trying to find the right answer and it simply isn't coming, test this approach and see what happens next. Many people find this exercise especially effective before going to sleep, allowing their Monkey time to continue working while they rest. Some wake with a new perspective or an answer that wasn't obvious the night before. Repeat whenever you are seeking clarity, guidance or a fresh perspective and forms an important part of the Misaligned Monkey Challenge. Music by Chris Powell
