This is going to be a journey to work on your anxiety.
So when you're ready,
I invite you to get comfortable.
Find a nice spot to sit early down.
If it feels right,
You can close your eyes.
Start by taking a deep breath all the way in.
And then out.
And then out.
All the way in.
And letting it out.
One more deep breath,
All the way in.
And letting it out.
And then out.
As you begin to relax now,
Just allow yourself to breathe normally.
Bring your awareness to the sensation of the breath.
Rise and fall,
Your chest and tummy as you breathe.
And then out.
Noticing the sensation of the air as it comes in through the nose,
Down into the lungs,
And then back out.
Being aware of other sensations,
Like the couch,
The bed,
Whatever surface you're on at the moment.
Just allow yourself to relax a little more deeply.
And in a moment,
You may notice a white light shining just above the top of your head.
And if it feels right,
Allow that white light to begin to start filling the top of your crown,
Beginning to relax your scalp,
Relaxing your thoughts,
Moving down,
Relaxing your eyes,
Moving down,
Relaxing your eyes.
You may notice one eyelid resting comfortably on top of the other eyelid.
As you allow the white light to move down and begin to relax your jaw,
Releasing the intention that may be there,
And noticing how good it feels.
Now continuing on,
Allowing the white light to move down into your neck and shoulders,
Relaxing all the muscles,
The bones,
The joints,
Connective tissues.
And then,
Allowing the white light to move down into the chest and upper back.
Again,
Relaxing the muscles,
The organs,
The bones.
And now allowing the white light to move down into the solar plexus and the mid-back,
Releasing any tension that may be there.
Now down into the tummy and the lower back,
Allowing that beautiful white light to relax everything there.
Relax everything there.
Now allowing the white light to move down your arms from the tops of your shoulders all the way down to your elbows,
All the way down to your wrists,
And all the way out your fingertips,
Letting any negative energy from your upper body flow out your fingertips,
Allowing it to be transformed back into positive energy for the universe.
No longer serves you,
And you no longer need to hold it.
Now allowing that white light to move down to the pelvic area,
Upper thighs,
All the way down to your knees,
And allowing the white light to move down to your calves,
Releasing any tension that may be there,
All the way down to your ankles.
And you allow the white light to move into your feet,
The soles of your feet,
And all the way out the tips of your toes.
And you allow any negative energy from your lower body to move out the tips of your toes,
And you notice it all being transformed into positive energy for the universe.
Take a moment and enjoy how good it feels to be filled with this completely beautiful white light.
Notice how relaxing it feels.
And when you're ready,
You may notice a path that begins to appear in your mind.
It begins to appear.
You may see it.
You may just feel it.
However,
Your experience is just fine.
But you begin by noticing the texture of the path,
Noticing the surroundings of the path,
Any plants,
Animals,
Trees,
Smells,
Sounds,
The weather,
Whether it's sunny out,
Whether it's cool.
And you begin to make your way down the path when you're ready.
And you continue on down the path all the way until you find a safe place for you to sit or lie down where you will do your work for today.
When you find that special place,
Take a moment and notice what you notice there.
Sitting down or laying,
Getting comfortable,
Taking in a deep breath,
Allowing yourself to take in all that beauty of this special safe place that's there just for you.
And in a moment,
I'd like you to allow yourself to bring up those feelings of anxiety,
Of fear.
And bring it up as strong as you can handle.
Notice where you feel it in your body.
Notice any changes in the way that you're feeling.
Notice any changes in the way that you're feeling.
And just allow that anxiety to come out.
And now if you can,
If it feels right to you,
Imagine that anxiety stepping out of your body,
Almost like you can see it or feel it as a separate person from you.
What would that anxiety say to you?
What is it trying to teach you?
What is its job?
What is it trying to protect you from?
And if you can,
If it feels right,
Thank the anxiety.
Thank you for protecting you the best way it knows how and for doing its job.
And let it know that you no longer need it to protect you in this way.
And find a new job for it so that it can still help you and protect you in a way that better serves you.
And if you can,
Let it know that you're doing it for the better.
And as you give this anxiety that new job,
It'll be more beneficial for you.
Notice the feelings in your body.
Notice what changes.
Notice how the anxiety feels.
Notice how it's happy to still be able to protect you,
But in a way that serves you better.
And thank it for what it's done for you for all these years.
Be very clear that the anxiety knows its new job,
Of how you would like it to protect you,
Or what you would like it to do for you.
And allow it to go back to its place,
To its new place,
Where it will better serve you.
And when you're ready,
Begin making your way back up the path,
Knowing that you have control over your anxiety,
And that this part of you was just trying to help,
And how grateful this part of you feels now having a new job,
Knowing that it can better serve you.
Continue on back up the path,
All the way back,
Until you can feel yourself on the surface that you're resting on,
Coming gently back into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Gently opening your eyes when you're ready,
Remembering that you are in control,
And feeling great.
