Gayatri Mantra - Authentic Sanskrit Pronunciation

The Gāyatrī mantra is dedicated to Savitṛ, a solar deity. 
Om, we meditate on the glory of that being who has produced this universe, may he/she enlighten our minds.
It’s believed that by regular chanting of the mantra, you can stabilize your mind and achieve happiness in life. It’s a declaration of appreciation to the sun and the Divine.
Goddess Gayatri is known to eliminate darkness by illuminating our minds with light.
