Hello sweet soul,
Welcome to mindful mini meditation designed to help children cultivate mindfulness and emotional well-being.
In this session,
We will be practicing a mindful meditation called feeling happy.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated or lying down position,
Getting as cozy as you can.
Good.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a few deep breaths in,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Continue that breathing in through your nose,
Big exhale out through your mouth.
With each inhale,
Imagine a bright warm light filling up your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
This light brings in happiness,
Joy,
And positivity.
With each breath,
It gets brighter.
As you exhale,
Imagine all of your worries and negativities leaving your body.
Visualize yourself sitting in a field of flowers.
The sun is shining so bright.
There's a gentle breeze blowing through the grass.
Listen to all the sounds around you.
The rustling of the leaves,
The birds are chirping.
Do you hear them?
In the buzz of our friendly little bees.
As you look around the field,
See all the colors of the flowers,
The beauty of the nature around you.
Take a deep breath in,
Smelling the fragrance of the flowers.
Now bring your mind to a memory or a thought that brings you joy and happiness.
This could be a time you laughed with your friends or family,
A time you accomplished something that was important to you,
Or a moment when you felt very proud of yourself.
Allow yourself to fully immerse into this happy memory,
Remembering how it made you feel,
The colors and the sounds,
And the people or things around you.
Hold on to this feeling of happiness.
Let it fill up your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes,
Feeling joy.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I am happy.
I am grateful.
I am kind.
I am happy.
I am grateful.
I am kind.
One more time.
You got this.
I am happy.
I am grateful.
I am kind.
I am kind.
But when you're ready,
Slowly begin to open your eyes,
Taking a few more moments just to sit in the stillness of happiness and notice how you feel.
Remember that this feeling of happiness and positivity can stay with you throughout the day,
And you can reconnect with it anytime you choose.
