I offer a special prayer.
I give thanks for the earth,
And I give thanks for each human heart,
And that each one of us as lovers of our animals,
That we recognize that the language of the animals is love itself.
So I give thanks this day that we have gathered to have it be a very special honoring.
It's a very special thank you.
And may each of us as human beings be open in heart to our instinctual ability,
To that greater wisdom of our intuition,
To that unconditional love that is given to us.
May we give to others.
For this I am grateful,
And I give thanks to all directions.
I give thanks to the big and the small.
I am grateful.
So never forget that within the capacity of our human hearts,
We have that same capacity to love unconditionally.
And to know that animals' eyes have the power to speak a great language.
The great philosopher Martin Buber wrote,
He said that language of the animals was universal.
The language is love itself.
So I close with just that sunset,
Each animal has been raised on the wings of the great eagles into that greater domain.
And those precious ones that are with us physically,
We bless their walk.
We give thanks for the language of love.
We give thanks that they're incredible teachers.
So may your animal be blessed,
And may you be blessed now and forevermore.
And so it is.
