Relax your mind and body and sit with curiosity.
Have you ever seen a bird?
Just sitting in your yard.
If you are sitting on the floor.
Sit in a comfortable position and support your back.
If you are sitting on a chair,
Support your lower back.
Lengthen your spine.
Soften your shoulders.
Place your hands on your thighs.
Feel your feet on the floor.
This is called grounding.
Bring your body to a relaxed yet alert position to do this guided practice together.
On Allah's name.
As-salāmu.
Lower your gaze.
Close your eyes.
Focus inwardly and bring the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala into your mind.
Take a deep breath in.
And let a long breath out.
Fully relax.
Let us do two more of those.
Deep breath in.
And a long breath out.
Now,
Let us breathe normally.
No need to shorten or lengthen your breath.
Just breathe in and breathe out normally.
And as you breathe,
Focus upon the remembrance of Allah in your heart.
Every breath,
Every moment.
Is a gift from Allah.
And we bring a sense of gratitude into our heart,
A smile on our faces,
As we concentrate on Allah's remembrance with every breath.
Today,
Our practice will help us develop a deeper gratitude for Allah.
One of Allah's names is Ash-Shakur.
Which means the infinitely appreciative.
The most grateful.
The rewarder of thankfulness.
By calling Allah.
Ash-shakhur.
We are both worshiping Him.
And beseeching Allah to make manifest this beautiful quality within us.
Remember.
That by small acts of worship for Allah.
Like spending this time in his remembrance.
We are given back so much more.
Now close your eyes.
Breathe deeply one time.
And another.
And focus your attention in your heart.
Remember that your physical heart is connected to the spiritual heart.
Remember Allah.
By repeating this beautiful name.
Ash-shakur.
Ash Shukur.
Ash Shukur.
Ash Shakoor.
Ash Shukur.
Ash Shukur.
O the most appreciative and continuously appreciative and generous lord to his servants.
Ash shakur.
You you you you you you Focus on your heart and say.
.
.
Ash Shakoor.
Ash-Shakur.
Say it not only from your mouth or your mind.
But from the depths of your heart.
Remember Allah.
By repeating this beautiful name.
Ash-Shakur.
Ash Shakoor.
Ash Shakoor.
You you Keep saying,
Deep from your heart.
Ya Shakur.
Yah Shukur.
The most appreciative.
And rewarding luck.
You you Allah wants to bless us.
The Quran says,
Kafirin Shakoor.
The forgiving.
The appreciative.
We might say.
I'm such a sinner.
We may think.
Will Allah really accept the pathetic deeds that I do?
When I commit bad deeds?
But the Quran says,
The forgiving,
The appreciative.
Allah says,
Surely our Lord is indeed ever forgiving,
Appreciative.
This gives us the reassurance that even if we commit sinful deeds,
We can return to Allah and He will,
Inshallah,
Forgive us.
While rewarding us for the good.
It is written in the Quran.
And there are others who have acknowledged their sins.
They had polluted a righteous deed with another that was bad.
Perhaps Allah will turn to them in forgiveness.
Indeed.
Allah is forgiving and merciful.
How grateful should we be?
How appreciative should we be for such a generous Allah.
The prophet tells us the story of a man.
Who was extremely thirsty.
And found a well.
Which he climbed down to fetch water to quench his thirst.
He then saw a dog which was panting out of thirst.
Recognizing that the dog felt the exact same thing he did a few minutes ago.
He climbed back down the well in order to give the dog some water.
Allah accepted and rewarded his action and forgave his sins.
Bukhari and Muslim go back to repeating his beautiful name.
Ash shakur.
Say it from the depths of your heart.
Feeling gratitude for your God and Creator.
Ash Shakoor.
Ash Shakoor.
Ash-Shakur.
Ash Shukur.
Ash Shakoor.
If your mind wanders.
Come back to Allah's remembrance in your heart.
AH SHAKUR ash-shakur.
The Quran also tells us.
And they will say.
Praise to Allah.
Who has removed from us all sorrow.
Indeed.
Our Lord is forgiving and appreciative.
Ash'hakur.
Feel a deep sense of gratitude radiating from the depths of your heart and enveloping all parts of your body.
Ash Shakoor.
Let us pray from our heart to Allah.
And ask him to grant us gratitude.
Before we finish.
Focus again your attention on your breath.
Just breathing in and breathing out normally for a few short moments.
We ask Allah to forgive and cleanse all our sins and shortcomings.
We send his blessings to the beloved messenger of Allah,
Muhammad.
May Allah bless this practice.
Infinite praise and thanks to Him alone.
You may open your eyes gently.
And take in your surroundings.
After you finish,
Write down the main experiences,
Insights,
Or questions from today's practice in your notebook.
