Welcome to our contemplation today.
Take a deep breath and relax into the practice.
Become aware of the time you will spend today with the Lord in prayer and contemplation.
Take a moment to sit up straight on a comfortable chair.
Or in a position that feels comfortable on the ground.
Sit up straight.
But not overly erect.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Set an intention to remain in this position during this contemplation,
Even if you feel tired or distracted.
But remember,
If there is any extreme discomfort,
Please adjust yourself.
You may remember that the heart of Jesus,
From which blood and water came out,
Is central to Christian tradition and spirituality.
We may keep in mind that the heart symbolizes God's unconditional and all-inclusive love for all of us.
We are also called to live in His heart.
Full of joy,
Love,
And hope.
Gently close your eyes.
Breathe slowly and deeply.
Breathe one.
Three times.
Now imagine that you feel and see Jesus in front of you.
Jesus is sitting in front of you,
Looking at you with love.
His love and gaze is on you.
Let your mind rest on the feeling of being loved by Jesus.
Focus on that feeling of being looked at in a loving way by Jesus.
Don't worry about anything else.
Including your worries or personal failures.
Simply allow yourself to be looked at and loved by Jesus.
You Let us now ask for God's help.
Please give me the grace to be aware of my brokenness and sinfulness and to accept God's unconditional love for me.
Let us repeat this prayer.
Lord,
Please give me the grace to be aware of my brokenness and sinfulness and to accept God's unconditional love for me.
And one last time.
Lord,
Please give me the grace to be aware of my brokenness and sinfulness and to accept God's unconditional love for me.
We are all incomplete and broken without God's love.
We are limited.
We make mistakes.
Sometimes consciously,
Most of the time unconsciously.
I hurt myself and others.
On my own,
I cannot improve my situation.
But Jesus can help me.
Surely,
He will help.
He can touch and transform me.
You Jesus is closer to me than I am to myself.
He can make me accept my brokenness without becoming sad or depressed.
I only need to realize my many mistakes.
And be open to Jesus' love.
What matters is to be open.
It's about opening ourselves to God's love.
So he can move closer and deeper into our hearts and transform us.
There is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over 99 good people who don't need to.
Now take a moment to direct your attention to your heart.
Your beating heart.
Direct your attention to your heart while listening to these words.
Jesus can touch and transform me.
He is closer to me than I am to myself.
Keep focusing your attention on your heart while listening to the words.
Jesus can touch and transform me.
He is closer to me than I am to myself.
Keep repeating these words to yourself in silence.
Jesus can touch and transform me.
He is closer to me than I am to myself.
Jesus can touch and transform me.
He is closer to me than I am to myself.
Keep focusing on the heart,
Feel it beating.
Now repeat these words from Psalm 51.
A broken,
And a contrite heart.
O God,
You will not despise.
Keep on repeating slowly.
And gently while focusing on your heart.
Broken,
And the contrite heart.
Oh God.
You will not despise.
Move the focus of attention from your heart to Jesus' heart.
See his heart radiating a bright flame of love.
A love that knows no selfishness.
Focus your attention on the all-loving heart of Jesus.
Now make an offering of yourself to the Lord,
Yourself with all your brokenness and limitations.
Make an offer of yourself to the Lord and request Jesus to accept you into his heart.
Ask Jesus to come and live in your heart.
Jesus.
Please come and live in my heart.
Then give yourself to Jesus.
And be still within his heart.
Ask Jesus to come and live in your heart.
Then give yourself to Him to live in His heart.
Jesus.
Come and live in my heart.
Jesus,
I give myself to live in your heart.
You you you Jesus.
Come and live in my heart.
Jesus.
I give myself to live in your heart.
Jesus.
Come and live in my heart.
Jesus.
I give myself to live in your heart.
Thank you,
Jesus,
For the graces you have given me in this contemplation today.
Let us end with the Lord's Prayer.
Our Father,
Who art in Heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation.
But deliver us from evil.
Now get up slowly,
Remain in the mood of prayer for some more minutes,
And write down the main experiences,
Insights,
Or questions in your notebook.
