Hi,
I'm Jill.
This is a gentle space to slow things down,
Especially if you're feeling overwhelmed or caring a lot right now.
There's nothing you need to do perfectly here.
You don't need to clear your mind or feel any certain way.
We're just going to begin by noticing.
If it feels okay,
You might start by noticing your body where you are.
Maybe your feet on the ground or your body supported by the chair or bed beneath you.
Just gently orienting to support.
And if it feels safe enough,
You can take a slow breath in.
Through your nose and a longer exhale out of your mouth.
And let's do that one more time.
Slow inhale and a soft longer exhale.
You might begin to notice what's here inside of you.
Right now,
Not trying to change it,
Just noticing.
Maybe there's tension.
Maybe your mind feels busy.
Maybe there's a part of you that feels overwhelmed.
Just gently acknowledging something here is having a hard time.
And as you notice that,
See if you can also stay connected to the support beneath you.
The ground holding you,
The chair holding you.
You don't have to hold everything on your own right now.
If you notice a part of you that feels overwhelmed,
You might gently turn toward it with a little bit of curiosity.
Not trying to fix it,
Just letting it know you see it.
Maybe even silently saying,
I notice you.
You don't have to do this alone right now.
And if that feels like too much,
That's okay too.
You can always come back to your breath or the feeling of your feet on the ground.
And before we finish,
Just take a moment to notice anything that feels even slightly different.
Maybe a small shift or maybe not.
Both are okay.
And there's no rush to move on from here.
You can take your time,
Wiggle your fingers or toes,
Or gently open your eyes if they were closed.
And thank you for taking this moment for yourself today.
Feel free to come back whenever it suits you.
