It's said that moving home is one of the most stressful things we humans can do. Here I am on this recording, in the middle of my most recent move, taking a divine deep-dive in the midst of the moving madness. Please join me for some bite-size bliss, whatever your domestic circumstances, as we take advantage of the situation to mine some meditation-made-simple gold...

Hey,

It's been a while right?

Munson's meditation made simple and I've been making recordings for Insight Timer and now it just feels like there's a bit of an imperative to record once more now that the Barefoot broadcast is back in business and that's weekdays at 10 o'clock where we get together and we go into the stillness pretty soon after we've started,

After 10 and that's European time.

Just wanted to do a quick,

Just a quick dip into the deep right now,

Our mid move,

On the move again in Portugal and just wanted to be still for a moment and just delve into the resources,

The inner resources because you know,

They say it's one of the most stressful things you can do.

We've planned it so it's not so bad but we have a busy family life,

Three young kids working from home and obviously we are in unprecedented challenging times for the psyche right?

For the world psyche,

For the personal psyche,

Whichever part of the continuum you look at,

It seems to be quite a challenging time in a way and the best way in my view to respond to that or to be responsible for it is to dive deep into oneself,

Into let's call it meditation,

Let's call it being still,

Let's call it being free,

Let's call it detaching just for a moment from all the ideas and the monkey mind,

The mental patient,

Just going crazy throwing up ideas,

Throwing up thoughts that you should be thinking about and rarely do we,

Well I don't know about you but certainly the orientation for me in my life is to be using the mind quite a lot and getting attracted by what's going on in the mind,

Becoming attached to it and moving with it and that's just a dynamic of human existence is it not?

And also we have this other faculty as human beings to be more in the being part than the human part you might say and just dive deep,

Just stop for a moment and exhale and centre yourself,

I'm centring myself now,

It's literally taking a moment under the tree,

Buddha-like under the tree,

Not as Buddha-like as I'd like to be but it's a start,

Light breeze,

Feel the light breeze,

I'm feeling the breeze and knowing that I'm sat in partial shade on this very hot day in Portugal,

Just rewinding back in you know,

Winding my neck in as it were,

Into a purer place of being and easiness and stillness and it's so refreshing,

Which if I'd just chosen to keep going I wouldn't be enjoying this right now,

Taking it easy in the Portuguese hillside,

Portugal hillside,

Portuguese hillside,

Sorry I'm just getting so relaxed here,

I'm not stringing my words together so well but just hopefully where you are,

Wherever you are,

Wherever your landscape,

If you're managing to just take it easy for a moment,

Be with me,

As in the eternal me,

Not me Karl Munson but me,

The real me inside,

The real me inside of you,

It's the me being being,

Not the me and my problems but the me in the midst of the peace and the stillness and the easiness,

Just taking it easy,

Taking the ease,

Enjoying the ease of this precious moment and just enjoy that for a little while.

If your mind pulls you away from your ease of being,

Let's come back to your breathing.

I had thoughts arising,

Catch myself,

Just let them go again,

Come back into the moment and the sounds around,

People chatting,

Chikadas,

Birdsong,

Just all let it come and go,

Same way you are,

Just let the sound rise and fall,

Come and go,

Pass you by and connect with your divine insides,

Your inner peace,

Your true peace.

That's a quick check in for me and I'll leave you there to enjoy that,

If you want to stop now fair enough but why not stay,

Why not stay and keep enjoying that.

Wishing you well.

I appreciated that very much. I’m in the midst of a move and finding it stressful.
