Join me for a 10 minute renewal. My voice and breath, layered wit subtle toned harmony, to guide you back to the sweetness of your own being. Most days we’re too preoccupied to notice the pleasures that abound. We have more important things to attend to. Or we think of pleasure as superficial and anything but spiritual. Yet we were born with bodies, indivisible from our surroundings and equipped with senses, always there waiting to allow us to more fully experience the delight of the world within and around us. Too often we make due, starved of pleasure, satisfied with a daily subsistence diet of work or distraction. Or we limit the vast realm of the sensual to merely sex. We try to create some bigger, more intense experience than what we’re having in the moment. ​ In the process, we ignore the pleasure of what is possible, right now. No searching or buying anything. Noticing is all that's required. Right now… this body… this breath.

Hello,

My name is Mary Campbell and I'd like to welcome you to the pleasure of breath.

In this 10 minute journey,

You are invited to turn the volume up on your senses and see how attentively you begin to notice the breaths play in your body.

You may follow your breath's own natural rising and falling,

Gently guided by my suggestions.

Find a comfortable way to sit with your straight back and body relaxed.

Feel your feet on the floor and become aware of your breath.

Watch it rising and falling,

Rising again and falling.

Notice the fresh quality of air as it enters your body and as it leaves,

The way your body wants to relax.

In breath filling,

Out breath emptying and releasing.

Watch as your body expands on the in breath and as the breath is released,

Notice how your shoulders want to relax downward.

On the next in breath,

Begin to notice your upper lip as air passes across it and up into your nostrils and then on the out breath,

The difference in the flow of barely perceptibly warmer air outward.

Again breathing in and out.

Notice now the inner walls of your nostrils as this cooler air enters and warmer air is released.

Cool air in and warm air out.

Cool sensation filling your nose rising upward and warmth bathing your nostrils as it flows outward.

With the next breath,

Begin to notice this cool air,

Nature's gift,

Rising up and into your sinuses.

Warmth released and back down.

Cool oxygen bathing your sinuses,

Your own warmth released back to the air outside.

As the inner membranes of your sinuses become more alive,

Release any tendency to evaluate these sensations.

Your body is just becoming more awake.

Breath flowing in and out.

And in and out.

And when your mind begins to chatter as it will,

Let go back into your body,

Into the sensation,

Into the cool on the in breath and the warm on the out.

Coolness in.

And warmth releasing,

Flowing back and out again.

The entire pathway of your breath alive and vibrant.

Up and in.

Back and down.

The exchange of air and breath playing in your body.

Follow the path of this cool sensation now as it flows upward through your sinuses and down sweeping past the back of your throat.

Coolness in and warmth releasing,

Flowing back and out again.

The exchange of air and breath playing in your body.

Chest expanding and relaxing.

Filling with this free life giving sustenance.

And relaxing.

Sustained.

Welcome the pleasure of breath.

And then let it go.

Nothing to hold onto.

Always here and accessible.

Taking in and letting go.

Cool on the in breath.

Breathing and warm relaxing on the out breath.

Taking more breaths.

And now let go of any consciousness as you allow yourself a few last breaths.

Feeling the pleasure of your body and the breath dancing together.

And now coming back to your awareness of the space around you.

Feet touching the floor.

Your seat against the chair.

The lusciousness of living in the body.

Sustained by everything around us.

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes.
