Snippets of Wisdom number 84,
New Perspective on Patience.
Do you consider yourself a patient person?
Are you happy on the way to what you want even when it's not there yet?
Or do you have to force yourself to be patient when you're anxiously waiting for what's missing in your life?
I needed a new perspective on patience because I was feeling impatient,
So I turned to my mentor Abraham Hicks.
Here's what I found.
True patience is knowing that you want it and knowing that it's coming and actually enjoying the unfolding along the way.
I love how they said it is a knowing.
It reminds me that when I ask,
It is given,
Not might be given,
Not if I do the right things,
Say the right things,
And act a certain way,
And it may be eventually released into my reality.
No,
It is given,
But where am I?
Am I over here out of alignment with my knowing?
Am I over here not enjoying the unfolding along the way?
Am I twirling up in feelings of impatience and anxiety?
This also reminds me that Abraham says patience is for those people who are out of alignment.
Yikes!
When we're trying to force ourselves to be patient while we wait for our good stuff,
It could get frustrating.
Then we think,
Oh yeah,
I've got to be patient.
What if we shifted our perspective on patience?
What if we knew so strongly what we want,
And we knew strongly that it is coming,
That we simply relaxed and enjoyed the unfolding of its wonders?
What if we could see past all the doubt?
What if we could keep our eyes focused on what feels good right here,
Right now?
What if we were happy and excitedly anticipated its arrival?
Doesn't that sound like true patience would be a hell of a lot easier?
So,
What do you want?
Do you have a clear vision of it?
How does it feel to think about it being on the way to you?
Are you excited?
Are you doubtful?
Are you looking around for external validation that what you want is good enough?
Do you argue for the limitation of your worthiness?
Once you know what you want,
Look around for things,
People,
And circumstances to appreciate.
Notice when others receive what they desire and praise them.
Look for abundance all around you and within you.
Speak more often of abundance,
Plenty,
And expansion so that the true patience envelops you because you know your good stuff is most certainly on the way.
Enjoy the unfolding while it's in the vibrational process of becoming your reality.
Big hugs,
Mary Ann.
