Number 80.
When happiness feels too far.
When we're struggling,
Happiness just feels too far away.
What can we do instead of reaching for happiness that seems unattainable?
We reach for relief.
I came across this quote from Abraham Hicks that spoke to my heart when I was struggling.
If you're in the energy of struggle,
You need to reach for relief,
Not happiness.
Why would they say that?
I thought I was supposed to be happy all of the time.
Having the belief that I'm supposed to be happy all the time has,
At times,
Added to my struggle because I just can't seem to get there 100% of the time.
So I beat myself up for not doing better.
When happiness seems out of my reach,
I have taken Abraham's advice and reached for relief instead.
Making that decision to allow myself some grace brought me some relief right away.
Then I could find a few things to think about that were a little more pleasing,
That felt like relief.
Then I did it again and again,
Feeling more relief.
As I felt better in relief,
I was able to reach for even better feeling thoughts that felt like a twinge of happiness.
As I kept at it by looking for things that brought me the feeling of happiness,
My happiness returned.
So I've learned that when happiness isn't available for me in the energy of struggle,
I can permit myself to reach for relief instead of trying so hard to reach beyond my capability in the moment.
I know from experience that I always return to happiness at some point so I can allow myself to relax and simply reach for the feeling of relief.
I know happiness is not gone forever.
I'm just out of alignment with how my inner being feels about me in the moment.
Once I align with some relief,
My inner being continues to flow happiness to me and I eventually see my lighted path back to happiness.
Are you in the energy of struggle right now?
Does happiness feel too far away?
It's okay.
Everything is still working out for you.
Relax and reach for any thought that feels like relief.
Even if you have to change the subject and distract yourself for a while,
You don't have to figure out the struggle energy and fix it.
Just reach for relief.
That decision will allow you to release some of the resistance that's holding you back from your happiness.
Remember,
It's okay when you find yourself struggling.
Take a breath and shake it off.
Reach for relief and eventually your happiness will return.
It's impossible to stay in any one energy for 100% of the time.
Go with the flow and know that your happiness is around the next bend.
