Snippets of Wisdom,
Number 71,
Value the Contrast.
Ugh,
Contrast.
Those negative experiences that pop up at the most inopportune times.
Where do they come from?
Are we doing something wrong again?
How many times do we have to repeat this lesson?
And how the hell do we make them go away?
When I needed to gain a better understanding of contrast's role,
I turned to my mentor Abraham Hicks and found this quote that answered many of my questions.
Here's the quote.
When you understand the value of contrast,
Then you don't leave your inner being,
Who always understands the value of contrast.
So then,
Contrast doesn't feel like negative emotion.
It doesn't feel like defeat.
It feels like opportunity.
It doesn't feel like confusion.
It feels like clarity.
It doesn't feel like something's gone wrong.
It feels like everything is going right.
What?
Are you sure contrast has value?
You mean contrast doesn't need to feel negative,
Defeating,
Confusing,
Or like something's gone wrong?
You mean I can shift my perspective about contrast so that I see it as an opportunity,
Clarity,
And feel like life's going right?
Who knew?
My inner being knew all along.
I just didn't ask them.
I was too busy complaining about another bad situation or experience that I didn't want.
So I took a breath and sat in stillness so I could process what I was learning.
Here's what I came up with.
Maybe it will resonate with you.
Our inner beings always understand the value of contrast.
They see the opportunities within contrast for us to choose what we want instead.
This is an expansive experience for ourselves and also for the all that is.
Expansion is the greatest value that contrast offers.
When we see its value,
It loses the negative sting and feels like an opportunity.
It doesn't feel like something went wrong.
It feels like things are working out and going right.
It's not some lesson we have to get right.
It's an opportunity to create something new.
So,
Don't jump into the wrong conclusion that you've done something inappropriate or are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Your inner being always understands the value of contrast.
So if you complain and fight against that negative feeling experience,
You are in opposition to what your inner being knows,
Thinks,
And feels about the contrast you're experiencing.
They think it's a good plan for expansion.
Contrast is valuable.
Big hugs,
Mary Ann.
