Good morning,
My happy ones.
Here's a quote I found from Booker T.
Washington.
I began learning long ago that those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.
When we're doing for others out of love and compassion,
We not only give the flower,
We retain some of the fragrance for ourselves.
The law of this practice is called by many names,
The law of reciprocity,
Sowing and reaping,
Giving and receiving,
Cause and effect.
It doesn't really matter what you call it.
It's still a universal law that works 24-7,
365 and never takes a vacation.
When we do for others out of love for their potentiality,
We can't help but receive in kind.
We are seeing them in their full empowerment.
Isn't that an awesome law?
To think,
I used to believe legalism was bad.
Now I understand why the psalmist King David in the Bible said how wonderful it is to meditate on God's laws day and night.
What a delightful law.
Do for others out of the love and joy that is at the core of your being.
Never out of obligation or people-pleasing,
Which is the energy of disempowerment.
If you want more happiness,
Begin to flow your inner happiness toward others and more will flow back to you.
Make it a happy day.
Big hugs,
Marianne.
