Martha Golden

Psychologist, PsyD

Dr. Martha Golden is a licensed psychologist who has been practicing and teaching mindfulness for over two decades. Her journey began as an elementary school teacher before earning her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. Martha discovered Dialectical Behavior Therapy—with its foundation in mindfulness practice—during graduate training and has dedicated her career to helping others develop these life-changing skills. She became one of the first globally to achieve DBT-Linehan Board Certification as a Certified Clinician™ in 2014. Martha has co-directed Triangle Area DBT, a cooperative network of clinicians trained in evidence-based mindfulness and emotional regulation practices since 2013. She founded Whole Skills Coaching to share mindfulness and DBT skills with broader audiences beyond traditional clinical settings, believing these practices enhance well-being in all areas of life. Martha approaches teaching with genuine warmth and practicality, drawing from her daily personal mindfulness practice. Her greatest fulfillment comes from witnessing students integrate mindfulness skills to create more meaningful, fulfilling lives. She is licensed in NC with Psypact authorization to provide services in 42 states.
