Welcome to this meditation on trusting yourself and trusting the process.
My name is Mariella and I'll be your guide today.
Go find yourself a comfortable position,
Whatever that looks like for you.
You can close your eyes if you're comfortable doing so.
If not,
Try to relax your gaze.
Before we start the meditation,
We'll do a couple of rounds of breath that will help soothe your nervous system.
What we're going to do is inhale for 4 counts and then we're going to exhale for double the counts.
So we'll inhale for 4 counts and we'll exhale for 8.
If that is too much for you,
If you can't inhale for 4 counts or exhale for 8 right now,
Try to inhale for 3 counts and exhale for 6.
Likewise,
If 4 on the inhale and 8 on the exhale comes easy to you,
You might want to try with 5 and 10,
5 on the inhale and 10 on the exhale,
As long as your exhale is twice as long as your inhale.
Let's first inhale together to align our breaths.

Now let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Now imagine,
Just for the duration of this meditation,
You can go back to doubting yourself once we're done here,
That you are a person who trusts.
A person who breathes in and breathes out trust.
You trust in yourself,
In your own abilities,
Including your ability to choose what's right for you in any given moment.
You know exactly what you're capable of,
And you are confident in knowing what you can and what you can't do.
You trust your creativity,
Your intuition,
And you know,
Deep down in your core,
In the depths of your soul,
That the Universe has your back.
What does that feel like?
What does it feel like to be carried in such a way?
To be guided in a direction that's for your highest good,
And the highest good of everyone involved?
To know that your own inner self,
Your intuition,
That creative spark inside of you,
And the Universe,
Or whatever higher powers you believe in,
Are here to assist you in whichever way possible.
And what does that look like?
What does it look like,
This trusting version of yourself?
What are they doing?
How are they behaving?
What are they saying?
And to whom?
What are they working on right now?
What do they want to be working on in the future?
What kind of future do they have in mind for you?
What do you see?
Allow them to show it to you,
All of it.
Open yourself up to whatever is unfolding.
Now step into this trusting version of yourself.
Visualize how the way you tend to perceive your reality is momentarily replaced by their reality as you step into their shoes and become this person.
In this moment,
You are the version of yourself that trusts everything.
When you're ready,
Ask yourself the following questions.
If I trusted the way I'm trusting now,
What would I be working on today?
What would I be doing differently?
What steps would I be taking to bring me closer to where I want to be?
What risks would I be willing to take?
Now place your hands over your heart and take another moment to soak up that feeling of trust.
That level of trust that comes so naturally to this version of you.
When you're ready,
Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale as you come back to the room.
Maybe you want to wiggle your fingers and toes or give your limbs a good stretch.
Open your eyes if you have them closed and if you feel so inclined,
Take your journal and write about what you've just experienced,
The answers that came to you during this meditation.
