This short poem speaks to the truth that often we find ourselves at a precipice, afraid to jump for fear of falling. But what happens when we remember we have wings upon which to fly? The poem is repeated twice so that you can best absorb its message.

Standing on the edge of a precipice,

Looking down.

What if the only way forward feels like a fall off a cliff?

The edge is calling you,

You can't go back.

But afraid of change,

Afraid to fall.

Looking down over the edge,

Unable to move.

Silly girl,

Did you forget you have wings?

Standing on the edge of a precipice,

Looking down.

What if the only way forward feels like a fall off a cliff?

The edge is calling you,

You can't go back.

But afraid of change,

Afraid to fall.

Looking down over the edge,

Unable to move.

Silly girl,

Did you forget you have wings?
