It is always exciting to begin a new book, so please join me for chapter one of the wonderful classic by Kenneth Grahame that celebrates nature, friendship, loyalty, and adventure. Mr Mole decides he is fed up with spring cleaning his burrow and emerges onto the riverbank - for an unexpected and life-changing meeting with Ratty, the Water Rat. Soon they are sailing down the river in Ratty's rowing boat and a joyous Mole can't believe how beautiful everything is.
