Welcome and the aspect we are looking at this week is Namaste.
Namaste you've probably heard of it being used usually at the end of yoga class or after meditation but it can be used anytime also as a hello and I thank you and it is a beautiful way to bring a little bit more soul-based communication into our daily lives.
So that is what is today all about.
Namaste.
Such a beautiful word.
A Sanskrit word,
Of course,
With a huge meaning.
So there are many different translations which all mean kind of something similar.
And my favourite one is this.
So this one word means all of this.
My soul honors your soul.
I honour the place in you where the entire universe resides.
I honor the light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace within you.
Because it is also within me.
In sharing these things,
We are united,
We are the same.
We are one.
Isn't that beautiful?
Let's begin.
Make yourself comfortable.

Close your eyes,
And make yourself really comfortable.
We'll have a 15 minute introduction to the theme.
And then transition into our meditation.
Which will be short and guided.
So let's begin.
I would like to encourage you to integrate the soulful energy vibration.
Of Namaste more consciously into your daily life.
It is a wonderful,
Easy way of reminding ourselves of the importance of soul energy,
Soul consciousness,
Soul awareness,
Soul appreciation,
Soul guidance,
So gratitude,
So full compassion,
So full bliss,
So full unity,
So full empowerment and everything you have ever wished for because the universe has your back.
How good is that?
It doesn't get any better than this,
Really.
So relax and align yourself with the energy of your soul.
And the light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace of Namaste that we all share and that always unites us,
Beyond any differences we may have.
Differences create separation.
Stress,
And all the negativity that follows down the track.
It creates undesirable karma.
And causes us to lose energy.
Create a conscious intention.
And choose soulful alignment within yourself and with all and everything in existence.
They are only lessons to learn.
Insights to extract.
Perception to expand and awareness to guide.
If we align with our soul.
Follow your bliss and take time to do what makes your soul happy.
This is the nectar of life.
That is waiting for you to enjoy.
Spread your wings.
Let your spirit soar.
That's a quote by an unknown source.
As Rumi urges us to look past your thoughts so you may drink the pure nectar of this moment.
And Martha Amritanandamayi.
In short also called Amma,
Recommends Be like the honeybee who gathers only nectar wherever it goes.
Seek the goodness that is found in everyone.
Enlightenment is not just for monks or some chosen ones.
It is for you,
Too.
Here and now.
Right now.
Monks,
And some chosen ones,
Might have the advantage that they can dedicate their whole lives to Buddhism.
To find out about enlightenment and fine-tune enlightened living.
But living in a certain way is not necessarily a guarantee for enlightenment.
So let's explore what is possible for us here and now.
As Eckhart Tolle points out.
You will need time until you realize that you don't need time.
To be who you are.
Did you hear that?
You won't need time.
Until you realize that you don't need time to be who you are.
So how can we realize who we are?
It is quite simple,
Really.
Here is Eckhart Tolle's answer.
To realize that you are not your thoughts.
Is when you begin to awaken spiritually.
So how can we realize that we are not our thoughts then?
The illusion that we are our thoughts subsists as long as we identify with our thinking.
As soon as we are able to step back and simply observe our thinking with the witnessing awareness that is our soul-self.
We are free of that limiting and often debilitating thought and ego-mind identification.
And how do we access the witnessing awareness of our soul self?
Simply ask yourself now.
As you listen to my voice,
Who is listening?
And then simply observe your thoughts that come and go.
Without engaging in any of them.
Just observe.
When you notice a freeing feeling in this observation,
That is when you have shifted.
From being a slave to your thoughts,
While identifying with what you are thinking.
To the freedom.
Of mutual observation.
What is going on and not engaging in it.
Simply letting it be.
This enough freedom will make it clear to you that thoughts just come and go.
And are nothing permanent.
If we do not engage with them.
The same applies to emotions.
Like anger or anxiety.
Being bored or sad.
Fearful or frustrated.
These are normal emotions that are part of the range of emotions in which our human minds can express themselves.
These emotions are part of our repertoire,
So to speak.
View them as part of your possible expressions,
And when they arise,
Acknowledge them.
And then allow them to pass.
Simply don't engage too much with them.
Or make them yours.
That only creates problems.
Nothing is permanent unless you make it so.
Everything changes if you can go with the flow.
We need to realize at this point that all the changeable things that can happen in our minds are not who we are.
This is really important.
The moment we realize this,
We become free.
Free from the influence of negative thoughts and emotions.
All the changeable elements that we are able to experience with our mind are not who we are.
Every time we get our head around this basic misunderstanding,
That can so easily get us trapped in negativity.
We free ourselves a little bit more.
So who are we if we are not our thoughts and emotions?
We are that which is unchangeable.
And the only unchangeable part of our existence is our soul.
The body changes.
The mind changes.
The soul cannot change because it is divine.
It is our divine and unchangeable core that cannot get lost or hurt or negatively affected by anything or anyone.
It can only become hidden,
Concealed.
And obscured.
When we allow negativity to rule our mind.
And even if that is the case,
Rest assured that your soul stays unaffected.
Your soul is your true self,
Which always remains pure and full of light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace,
As it is described in that beautiful translation of Namaste.
This is who you truly are.
Light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace.
Never mind all the negativity.
Just don't hold on to it.
Allow it to pass and clear the way that your soul-self can shine again.
Use your mind positively and cooperate with your soul.
Make your soul-self the boss and the mind the servant.
As Osho pointed out,
The mind is a beautiful servant.
But a dangerous master.
So make sure that your heart and soul are in charge,
And negativity will no longer be able to enslave you for prolonged periods of time.
You can totally rely on the qualities of your soul that are described in that beautiful translation of Namaste.
Light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace are our unchangeable essence.
Our true nature.
Our core of existence.
It truly is who we are.
You,
Me.
Everyone.
We might forget about this at times,
And then fall prey to any kind of negativity,
Get confused,
Disorientated,
Depressed,
Anxious,
Or even delusional.
Remind yourself often of who you truly are.
At your call.
And it'll become easier and easier.
To find your way back.
Into the light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace of your beautiful soul essence.
This is it,
Really.
Note this difference between the thoughts that come and go.
And are highly changeable.
And therefore cannot be who you are.
Because of their transient nature.
And the light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace of your soul self.
That truly is who you are because it is your forever essence.
So draw on your soul's essence.
It's not only forever you.
It cannot be diminished either.
It can only be obscured by ignorance and illusion.
Draw on your loving core,
And the more you draw,
The more it will flow freely.
That's your bliss spot,
From which all happiness,
Fulfillment,
Joy for no reason,
And inner peace emerge.
When you stay connected to this blissful essence of your True Self.
No matter what challenges might arise and threaten your peace of mind.
You are on your way to true freedom.
Freedom from any kind of bondage.
And freedom from suffering.
You are free to be who you truly are.
Present moment awareness is a wonderful tool to help us stay connected to our soul self.
Your intuition is the language of your soul.
Learn to listen to your intuition.
Just don't confuse it with wishful thinking.
Be vigilant,
Be observant towards your mind.
And what it wants to make of encounters,
People,
Situations,
Or circumstances.
Listen to your soul and state.
Always has your best interest at heart.
Accept what is,
Stay present,
Listen to your intuition.
This is when you know that you are in tune with your soul.
When the ego mind tries to take over,
Past and future come into the picture.
Calculations,
Manipulations,
And power struggles will be at play.
This is how you can distinguish which part of your inner world currently is in charge.
When struggle and stress are predominant,
The ego is involved.
When ease and lightheartedness prevail,
Your soul-self is free-flowing.
And shining bright.
This doesn't mean we won't have to face any problems anymore.
It simply means that even in the midst of challenges,
We stay rooted in the presence of light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace.
The spirit of Namaste.
The spirit also means that you are never alone.
Because this beautiful spirit lives in all of us.
It is our individual connection to Universal Consciousness.
To our Divine Source.
The universe has your back.
Trust that,
And life will start working out for you.
Make it a habit to check in with yourself.
What's going on inside?
Who is in charge?
The ego mind.
Of the soul self.
Then,
Take some moments to reconnect to your soul.
Simply relax and give your soul a chance to catch up with you.
Relax and feel fresh energy flow in again.
Relax and draw on the source of the entire universe that resides within you.
Relax and let the light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and peace spread within until you can't help to radiate it wherever you go and wherever you are.
Please bring your awareness to your breath now and observe your natural breathing for a few breaths.
Just observe.
Don't try to control it or influence it in any way.
Observe its depth,
Its length,
Its evenness or unevenness right now.
Then take a few deeper breaths.
And consider the following.
Can you feel?
The love within.
Can you feel joy spreading within you for no reason?
Maybe you feel even blissful right now.
Feel how good it feels to feel successful just by being fully present right now.
How carefree.
How does it feel?
When you can just allow your thoughts to dance about.
Without engaging them.
And before you know it,
I have disappeared again.
Now you can spread your wings.
And let your spirit soar.
How beautiful is that?
Here is a short introduction to our meditation today.
We will begin our meditation by first mindfully bringing our attention to our breathing as always.
Then turning our attention inward.
With a reflective self-enquiry.
That will help us connect to ourselves at a deeper level.
And as always meditating on our divine core.
Meditating in a state of loving awareness on our inner truth.
So let's begin.
Please close your eyes if you not already have done so.
And simply follow.
The inflow and outflow of your breathing.
Without controlling it in any way.
Coming into the present moment.
With each inhalation and exhalation,
Allow yourself to become more relaxed,
More comfortable,
More at peace,
And more at ease.

Simply ask the question and rest in being.

When you let the light,

Beauty and peace of Namaste spread within you.
Second question.
How does it feel?
When I realize the Light,
Love,
Truth,
Beauty and Peace of Namaste.
Are in everyone.
No matter how obscured it might appear.
Ask the question and allow the responses to come to you.
Notice whatever comes to you without forcing anything or judging.
Simply ask the question.
And pay attention.
How does it feel?
When you realize that the light love Truth.
Beauty and peace of Namaste.

No matter how obscured it might appear.
Last question.
When I spread my wings and let my spirit soar.
What do I see?
Ask the question.
And allow any thoughts,
Feelings,
Images or sensations to come.

Just be open.
