This is a spontaneous recording lovingly produced by Emily Toner. It is a practice on awakening, a contemplation of that which is uncontrollable. It is an invitation to see the hindrances to what wants to happen, the unfolding of becoming, and the recognition of being, as it is.

Beginning with a relaxing of the whole system,

The body,

The breath,

Even the facial muscles,

The neck muscles,

The shoulders.

If we begin with alleviating tension,

We're working back from what is the result of the assumption of me.

Tension in the body is a result,

It is a symptom.

Of course there is biological tension,

Awareness of surroundings,

Safety.

The most tension is caused through the activity of the mind.

The body mirrors the activity of the mind.

There is nothing wrong with this.

That's just how it is.

If we learn to listen and experience this,

Only then can the adjustment happen.

To know it intellectually is not enough.

Awakening happens of its own accord.

The quality we bring to our being can influence the nature of that happening.

To listen,

To simply listen,

To listen to existence,

Brings equality to your being.

We're not listening for meaning.

We're listening like we're listening to the rain on the tin roof.

We're not just listening with our ears.

Our very existence is listening.

It is always listening.

We are simply becoming conscious of what is already happening.

We are simply becoming conscious of what is already happening.

Our being is here to express,

To feel,

To notice,

To listen,

To participate.

Can we be here with absolutely no agenda?

The only thing that has an agenda is me.

Everything is me,

Simply being seen for what it is.

When it is seen and given no energy,

No resistance,

No help,

No attention,

Simply falls away of its own accord.

If we turn to the mind to work out how all this happens or doesn't happen,

We have engaged to me once again.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

Awakening means relaxing into the unknown.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

If we do not try to know,

We are left with the spaciousness.

Perfect for me this morning... brought my attention to “showing up without an intention “... something we forget that we unconsciously do with those we love.

Loved the silences interspersed with gentle words. Thanks for reminding me the "only one with an agenda is --- ME."

That was deeeeep ..... amazing.... I’ll be back; as early as tomorrow. I was tense when I started; but my body very quickly relaxed. The music and sound effects seem to massage the brain into total relaxation, as well. When my mind did begin to wander, his voice came in just at the right moment and gently guided it back into silence.
