Hello and welcome to today's meditation.

To understand the basics of meditation,

We are going first to understand what is the mind.

So we are going to go through three different meditations.

Today is the first one.

I believe there is no chance in life,

So if you choose this meditation,

There is probably a reason behind it.

Now let's start.

You can sit down,

Sit down in cross-legged position,

Or any sitting posture that suits you.

If it's too complicated,

You can also sit down on a chair.

The only requirement is that your back stays free.

Don't touch the wall or don't touch the back of the chair with your back.

Keep it free.

Keeping the back straight,

Neck straight,

Mouth gently closed,

Eyes gently closed,

And keeping the entire attention on the normal breath.

Natural breath as it is.

If it is long,

It is long.

If it is short,

It is short.

Passing through one nostril,

Then it's only one nostril.

Passing through both the nostrils,

Then it's both the nostrils.

Just observing the natural breath as it is,

As it is.

Today we are going to meditate on the mind.

The mind as a source of happiness,

But also as a source of pain.

Focusing on the normal breath,

Natural breath,

As it is for a few seconds.

And calm down the mind.

Calm down the mind.

Try to remember a disturbing situation in your life.

And recall what you were thinking and feeling.

Not what the other person was saying and doing,

But what you were thinking and feeling during this disturbing situation in your life.

Now,

How did the way you described the situation to yourself influence how you experienced it?

Now try to examine how your attitude affected what you said and did in the situation.

For example,

How did your words and actions affect the situation?

How did the other person respond to what you said and did?

Now,

Was your view of the situation realistic?

Were you seeing all sides of the situation?

Or were you seeing things through the eyes of me,

Of I,

Of my and mine?

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation during this time.

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation differently if you had had a broad mind and been free from self-centeredness.

How would that have changed your experience of it?

Now,

All together,

We're going to build up some self-determination to be aware of how we interpret events and to cultivate beneficial and realistic ways of looking at them.

Now,

Let's look at the situation in your life.

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation during this time.

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation during this time.

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation during this time.

Now,

Think of how you could have viewed the situation during this time.

Place back the entire attention on the breath.

Normal breath as it is.

Bringing back the entire attention towards the body.

You can gently open the eyes.

You can stretch out the legs if you need to.

I wish you a good rest of the day or a good night.

Thank you for joining the meditation.
