Outside Grounding Meditation

Come outside with me. Take off your shoes and step into the soft grass. Breathe. Relax the body. Use your senses to experience your surroundings. If you are not able to go outside, please use your imagination.

Hello and welcome to this grounding meditation.

I'd like for you to do this meditation outside if possible.

If not you can use your imagination.

So I want you to go to a place where the grass is very green and dry.

And the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day.

You have nowhere to go.

You have nothing to do.

This is your time.

Find your place and remove your shoes.

And step into the grass and feel how the grass feels on your feet.

How it might be warm from the sun.

How it might be cool from being under the shade of a tree.

Just feel the grass on your feet.

Next feel the sun coming down upon your head.

The heat,

The rays from the sun entering in from the top of your head.

And just feeling that ease as the light flows down through your spine from your crown chakra,

Third eye,

Throat,

Down to your heart chakra,

To the solar plexus,

Through your sacral,

And out past your root and out.

And out through your feet.

Next we're going to breathe.

So go ahead and place your right hand on your heart and your left hand on your belly.

And I want you to breathe in for the count of four.

And as you breathe in I want your belly to expand.

And then as it expands we're going to hold it for four.

And then we're going to release that air through your nose and your belly should go in towards your spine.

And we'll do that for three counts.

So it'll breathing in for four,

Holding for four,

Releasing through your nose for four.

And hold there for four.

Breathing in for four,

Hold for four,

And exhale for four.

Again through your nose.

Breathing in for four,

Holding for four,

And exhaling through your nose for four.

And just standing here,

Hearing the birds chirping,

Hearing the noises that are around you,

Just feeling a calm around you.

If you still feel some tension go ahead and shake out your shoulders and your arms and release that energy.

We are not meant to hold in this energy.

Release it.

And as your feet are in the grass,

I want you to imagine that from your feet they become roots of a tree.

And these roots go into the earth and they hold you there.

You start to feel an energy,

A healing energy that starts in your toes and comes up through your ankles,

Up your calves,

Through your knees,

Through your thighs,

Up through your groin,

Up through your belly,

Up through to your heart and your throat.

And it comes out the top of your head or your crown chakra.

And it goes up towards the sky,

Towards the sun.

And you stand there and you just feel this immense love,

This energy that you are held.

You just stand there and you're just so in awe of that feeling,

Making sure that you're breathing,

Making sure that you are just,

You are grounded,

You are in that earth energy,

Feeling the sun on your head,

The roots through your feet.

You are safe.

You are safe.

You are safe.

And then I want you to imagine that as your feet are in the ground and you are safe to go ahead and if you can imagine floating up towards the sky.

And you can look down and see yourself standing there in the grass where you are safe.

And then I want you to take that energy that is around your heart and just expand that out to wherever you are.

And then if you can to expand it out a little further.

As you expand out,

You're feeling so much love and you see so much healing around you and you feel it inside.

And you're still able to look down at yourself standing there,

Feeling so centered and so grounded.

Again,

Making sure that you are breathing.

Maybe at this point you could be grateful.

I am so grateful for the sun on my head.

I am so grateful for the grass under my feet.

I am so grateful for this breath that I get to take.

And then go ahead and come back down to yourself,

Feeling very grounded,

Very centered,

Very aware of your surroundings and very,

Very safe and loved.

Go ahead and just feel this moment.

Feel the wind around you,

Feel the sun on you,

Feel the grass beneath your feet.

What else do you hear?

What else do you see?

What else do you hear?

Making sure to use your senses and becoming grounded.

Thank Mother Earth for her energy.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

You can stay here for as long as you need to.

You are grounded.

You are feeling so calm.

You are refocused and you are ready to take on this day with gratitude,

With love,

With enthusiasm and with just a passion for life.

Go and shine your light.
