Let us take some time together to deeply relax.
I invite you to allow your eyes to close as we begin with several slow deep breaths,
Establishing the intention that with every breath in,
You breathe in peace,
Harmony,
And balance.
And with every exhalation,
You breathe out any tension or stress.
Breathing in deeply now through the nostrils,
Filling your lungs from the bottom to the top with the breath of life.
And hold for a moment at the top of the breath and release with an audible sigh,
Letting go.
Breathing in again deeply and fully.
Noticing that you breathe in peace and renewal.
Hold again at the top of the breath.
And once again,
Let go,
Releasing stress,
Fatigue,
Anything that no longer serves you.
And from that point of emptiness at the bottom of the breath,
One more time breathing in and hold and let go.
And now simply allowing your breath to find its own perfect rate and rhythm.
Each breath continuing to carry you more and more deeply into a sense of relaxation and peace.
Beginning with your head,
Feel the relaxation spreading across your scalp and face,
Relaxing your forehead,
Cheeks,
And chin,
Relaxing your eyes and all the small muscles around your eyes,
Relaxing your ears and nose,
Your jaw and mouth and tongue,
Relaxing your neck and throat.
Let your brain relax now and even your hair,
Letting go.
Feel the relaxation as it flows into your shoulders and chest,
Down your arms,
Relaxing your armpits,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists,
And hands,
Tingling gently in your palms and fingers.
Allow this wonderful feeling of relaxation to move through the entire length of your spine from the base of your skull to your tailbone,
Aligning and balancing your spine.
Feel the relaxation as it spreads into all the muscles of your back,
Releasing any knots or tension in your back and bringing a deep sense of comfort and peace.
Allow this wave of relaxation to move through your entire torso,
Relaxing your sides,
Your chest and belly,
And deep within,
Touching every organ of your body with healing and with peace.
Feel the relaxation moving now through your hips and buttocks,
Down your legs,
Relaxing knees and ankles,
Feet and toes.
You may feel a gentle tingling in the soles of your feet.
Feel your entire body cradled and supported by a sense of deep peace,
Relaxation and well-being.
Allow yourself to rest and float in this place for as long as you wish to,
Knowing that every cell of your body is being nourished and harmonized in the stillness.
Very gently now,
I invite you to once again connect with your breath.
Feel it flowing softly in and out,
And gradually allow your breath to deepen and strengthen the breath of life,
Bringing vitality and sparkling awareness to every cell in your body,
Each breath increasing the feeling of aliveness and well-being.
As your awareness returns now to the present time and place,
To the room where you are,
Feel yourself refreshed,
Renewed,
Alive,
And carrying with you that feeling of deep peace and well-being.
Begin to gently stretch and move in ways that feel good to you,
Wiggling your toes and rubbing your hands together,
Re-entering your body and your mind and your conscious awareness.
Alert,
Alive,
Refreshed,
Joy-filled,
And at peace.
