Somatic Sangha (March Gathering)
With Freebird Meditations
Somatic Sangha is a monthly gathering always centered on a simple inquiry: How do we live this life not only through thought, but through embodied presence and felt experience?
This month’s theme: Orienting to What Nurtures Us ~ play, rest, joy, ease, and simplicity, and why and how turning toward these experiences helps support and restore the nervous system.
Our nervous system is naturally wired to notice threat. In today’s world of constant stimulation and alarming information, this can easily train our attention to live inside stress and vigilance.
Together we’ll explore the practice of gently orienting toward what supports and nourishes us through mindfulness, conversation, and simple somatic exercises.
You’re invited to come with one or two small things in mind that bring a sense of ease or support in your life. We’ll work (and play) with these together in practice.
Note: This is my favorite topic in somatic work and there’s so much more to it than we often realize, and you’ll learn why.
All are welcome.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
