Welcome to your practice of heart coherence.
We will be sitting together for the next seven minutes,
So make yourself comfortable.
Allow yourself the opportunity to close your eyes or lower your gaze as you turn your attention in words away from the outer world,
Away from local reality.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and hold to the top.
And exhale all the way out through your mouth with an audible sigh.
Again,
Taking a deep breath in to the count of 4,
3,
2,
1,
And hold for 4,
3,
2,
1.
And exhale,
Letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go.
Continue to breathe in a fully conscious way,
Receiving the breath,
Holding at the top.
And releasing through your mouth with an audible sigh.
Just connecting to your own natural rhythm,
Keeping your eyes closed,
Deepening the breath as we're signifying to our nervous system that we are very safe.
We are safe to be here.
And as you connect your breath to its own natural rhythm,
Take two fingers or the palm of your hand to the center of your chest and lightly touch this part of your body,
Your heart center.
With this touch alone,
We're signifying to our nervous system that we defer now to the wisdom of our hearts.
You may feel,
Even with this touch alone,
Just an effortless sense of expansion surrounding your physiology and your anatomical heart.
Now we're going to increase this expansion by bringing something to mind,
Someone or somewhere that evoke strong feelings of gratitude,
Appreciation,
Joy,
Wonder,
Compassion,
Freedom,
Or love,
And just allow yourself to keep it simple.
Land on a mental image or a memory that really allows you to move into these feelings with your whole being,
Completely surrounding yourself with these feeling states.
Maybe it's a hot cup of tea or a smile from someone you love,
Seeing nature with the sun on your face.
Whatever it is,
Just bring all of your attention to this mental image so you can expand into these feelings of joy,
Appreciation,
Openness,
Gratitude,
Wonder,
Compassion,
Freedom.
Just give yourself over with your entire being and feel,
Imagine that every cell of your body is being lit up with this high vibrational feeling.
Let yourself be consumed by these feelings.
You will rest in silence for a few minutes as you continue to envision,
Imagine,
And feel.
It may feel as though there is a field of energy surrounding your heart area that is expanding the longer you stay in this practice.
Imagine,
Feel,
Or sense that that field is expanding every second.
Notice the sense of expansion.
Gently lower your hand to your lap and let go of this practice.
When you are ready,
Slowly and gently open your eyes and go about your day.
Practice this as often as possible.
It can be done with your eyes open and without the physical touch.
The idea is that this tool is here for you anytime and anywhere in your day.
