This is your invitation to pause for a few moments.
We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that sometimes we forget to stop,
Pause and appreciate what's happening around us.
This time to give yourself permission,
Find some stillness and pause.
Find yourself a comfortable position,
Preferably seated with your feet firmly planted on the floor.
Allowing your hands to rest on your lap and your shoulders to fall away from your ears.
You may keep your eyes open or if you feel comfortable,
Please feel free to close them down.
I invite you to place one hand on your belly and the other on your heart.
Feeling the breath moving in and out of your body.
When you are ready,
Take a full deep breath in,
Pausing for a moment before exhaling it all out.
Releasing any tension that is built up throughout the day.
Let's do that again.
Breathing in,
Pausing and let it all out.
One more time.
Inhale,
Making this the deepest,
Fullest breath of the day.
Pausing at the top and then exhaling it all out.
You can keep your hands where they are or return them gently to your lap and allowing the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
You're invited now to think of something you are truly grateful for.
Something that instantly brings joy to your heart and puts a smile on your face.
Can be anything,
Perhaps it's your morning cup of coffee,
A loved one or a friend or the feel of sunshine on your skin.
With that in mind,
Connect now with the feeling that it brings.
Using that immense feeling of gratitude to wash over you,
Enveloping you in a really big hug.
Staying with that feeling,
See if you can hold on to that for the remainder of the day.
When you are ready,
You may open your eyes,
Smile and move on with the rest of your day.
