Welcome to In the Flow,
A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.
We will laugh,
Cry,
Meditate,
And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,
Meditation,
Prayer,
And the afterlife.
Hello and welcome to today.
I love that.
So yesterday I was out,
Right?
And I was in the doctor's office and this lady walks in and she was very confused and she was older and she clearly didn't exactly know how to do the whole electronic check-in thing,
Right?
And this lady,
So she comes in and she's talking to herself,
But she's talking out loud,
Which is,
You know,
We all do that.
I'm so guilty of that,
Right?
So she clearly didn't know what was going on,
How to proceed,
Right?
So this young lady gets up and she took her by the hand and walked her over and showed her how to,
Actually,
She didn't show her how to do it.
She did it for her,
Which was amazing.
I mean,
It was so beautiful to see.
She helped her get checked in and all situated and she sits down and she's a couple seats over.
And I leaned over and I said,
I'm going to cry.
Oh my God.
I said,
We need more people like you in this world.
Don't you think?
It was so selfless and so just beautiful to watch,
You know,
Nobody had to get up and help that lady.
And to be quite honest,
I try to help where I can.
I really do.
But I was so in my own world yesterday that it wasn't even like,
Like I was on my phone,
To be honest with you.
So it made me so happy for humanity.
I was so happy for humanity.
And then,
So then I get home and I'm still late because it's these little things,
These minute and a half things that just rock my world.
So I'm thinking about this and I'm just like so happy about humanity.
Get this lady,
Help this other lady and I was so happy.
And so I get home and I look online and in my normal stuff,
Right?
And I look online and there's this Ram Dass quote and I'm going to read it too.
It's kind of,
Anyway,
It's along these same lines,
Right?
So this is the quote,
Together we are all on a journey called life.
We are a little broken and a little shattered inside.
Each one of us is aspiring to make it to the end.
Does that hit you between the eyes?
It did me.
And it continues.
None is deprived of pain here and we have all suffered in our own ways.
I think our journey is all about healing ourselves and healing each other in our own special ways.
Let's just help each other put all those pieces back together and make it to the end more beautifully.
Let us help each other survive.
I'm so moved by this,
Right?
So moved by these words and by the lady helping the other lady yesterday.
We are all a little broken.
We are.
We all have these things happen every single day.
And realizing that every single human has these things happen creates like an empathy or hopefully in my world it creates an empathy.
Don't you think?
Even if most people around you don't think like this,
We can.
That ripple effect starts with one little tiny ripple.
Tiny little stone.
So that lady yesterday in the doctor's office helped somebody out.
It moved me.
And now I'm telling you.
So just by,
Oh my God,
Why am I getting so emotional about this?
But that one lady's small act of kindness can inspire the masses.
I'm not saying masses listen to me talk,
But I'm saying that if she helps somebody and I get motivated to help somebody,
Then you see it and you help motivate somebody.
We all assist somebody to pay it forward.
We all have it in us,
Don't you think?
We really do.
We put our own self aside just for that minute.
Put yourself aside just for that minute and think about the person around you.
So that's my challenge for the day,
Right?
That is my challenge for us.
For today.
Let's continue this ripple.
Please continue this ripple.
We all are a little broken and we all could use a little bit of pick me up.
So and here's the sort of,
I'll just say it this way,
Selfish part of it,
Right?
If we help somebody else out in even a small way today,
That makes us feel good too,
Right?
So that's the selfish part of it,
Right?
So that can help us as well.
So let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to meditate on this.
Meditating on the fact that we are all,
I just,
I'm so amazed by this thought.
Not that I haven't thought of it before.
Not that any of us haven't maybe considered this before,
But we are all broken.
And if we can just help that one little tiny,
Do that one little tiny thing for somebody else,
We can help heal others.
So okay,
Let's get ourselves comfortable.
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Close your eyes.
And let's start out by our daily gratitude.
Let's just think for just a few minutes,
Some things in our lives that we are grateful for.
What are you grateful for today?
It can be as small as the shower you took this morning,
How good it felt.
It could be that you woke up to a clean house.
Or it could be that you are just grateful for every single person in your life.
You're grateful for the camaraderie.
Grateful for your friends and your family.
Beautiful.
So as we move forward,
We're going to sit in the stillness today.
The silence and stillness.
And our mantra or affirmation today is this.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously to word in word and action.
And this doesn't even have to mean that you give somebody money or you give somebody anything.
It could be a smile.
That's what.
A smile can change somebody else's world.
Today I give generously in word and action.
And if you start thinking of things as we are sitting in the stillness,
That's absolutely okay.
You can just sort of push them aside and get back to your breath.
Because we are teaching ourselves how to meditate and sit in the stillness.
Give ourselves that gift.
Today I give generously in word and action.
I will keep our time.
And let's begin.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Today I give generously in word and action.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in really really slow.
And release.
Very good.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
So hopefully that felt good for you today.
Felt good for me too.
Well thank you so much for joining.
I wish you all a little bit of peace today.
And try to remember to have that little bit of empathy.
And continue the ripple.
Right?
You never know when your little tiny deed,
Your tiny good deed,
Can have a ripple effect out to the world.
So thank you so much for joining as always.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
