by Lauri Albert
Just when you think that things are not so great, you witness a magnificent example of kindness, generosity & beauty! AND let’s send some love & peace to those that need it! My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Welcome.
Welcome in to the Spirit Room and In the Flow with Laurie Albert.
Thank you guys for joining today.
With everything going on in Ukraine,
And I know,
It's not the happiest of subjects,
Right?
All of the horrible atrocities,
The terrible,
Terribly sad stories,
Right?
I wanted today to talk about,
Yes,
A different aspect to it all,
Okay?
It's so interesting because there are so many reasons,
It's so true,
To be upset about this war,
You know,
All of the death,
All of the horrible things happening over there,
Right?
But I want to say that it seems like,
And luckily,
I look for good in people,
Right?
I look for good in situations because it's very difficult,
Obviously,
To focus on the negative all the time.
So I look for the positive stuff,
Right?
And what I've been seeing are some amazingly beautiful things happening within this mess.
Now,
That's not to take away the horribleness,
If that's even a word,
Of the war.
I get that,
Right?
But here's the thing,
I've never been one to dwell on sadness.
I try,
Try,
Try to find something positive,
You know?
It's good to be aware.
I get that.
I am aware.
I try to,
I like to think I'm aware anyway,
Right?
But I'm the type of person,
Like I said,
Wants to see something good come out of badness,
Right?
So there are a few things that I have noticed in these last couple of weeks that represent what I believe to be like the best of humanity.
And so that's what I want to talk about just for a few minutes before we do an amazing meditation chant to send love to them all,
Right?
But anyway,
The first thing that I saw,
The most,
One of the most amazing things that I saw through this,
I was blown away by this.
I thought this was so cool.
There were,
Like people didn't know how to get money to the people of Ukraine,
Right?
They didn't know how to get money.
They didn't know what charities to go to,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
All of that,
Right?
So what did they start doing?
People started going,
They got creative and they went to Airbnb and started,
Quote unquote,
Renting a house or whatever in Ukraine.
Oh my God,
What an amazing idea that is,
Right?
It just,
That money goes directly to Ukraine,
The people of Ukraine whose houses are getting bombed.
Who's this?
Who's that?
Whatever,
Right?
The funds,
The last I saw it,
The funds that had been raised for Airbnb,
People on Airbnb was over $2 million.
Isn't that amazing?
I find that to be the human spirit.
We will find a way,
Right?
I love that.
Okay.
Then number two.
Oh my gosh.
This one blew me away too.
Again,
People are getting creative as to how they can give,
Give,
Give,
Give,
Right?
I saw that in Poland at the train station,
People were leaving tons and tons of strollers at the train station for all the mothers that had to flee who could not bring their stroller.
Seriously,
Strollers can be big and cumbersome and the whole thing,
Right?
But how amazing is that,
That these mothers in Poland were leaving their strollers.
That's so beautiful.
What an amazing gesture.
It makes me a little bit teary eyed,
Right?
Okay.
So then also,
I love this.
I believe this happened at the train station as well,
But I'm not sure.
It said this man came to,
This musician came to wherever it was.
I believe it was a train station,
But it might've happened in a downtown area as well,
Set up a piano and brought the amp,
Turned it on and started playing.
Now they played the Ukraine national anthem,
Played all these songs to just,
You know,
Because music will raise your vibration.
So hopefully these people hearing that,
You know,
And another thing that I thought was really cool is that people are just breaking into singing the national anthem.
Now,
If you're here in the States,
If you might remember that that's what happened on 9-11 people would just break into singing the national anthem.
You know,
I love that.
That's such,
It really builds the camaraderie.
Oh my gosh,
How much I love that.
Right.
And then the choir came and started just like,
They would just show up and,
And sing,
You know,
Different places,
Love that,
Right?
There are so many stories of just that little tinge of beauty,
Of joy,
Of love,
Right?
I mean,
People were changing their icons on Facebook all around the world.
We do what little bit we can do to show support,
Right?
So here's what I want to say about all this though,
Today,
I don't want anybody to beat themselves up if they can't give money or if they can't do it,
They don't know where to go to give money or to give stuff or whatever you give what you can.
And by that,
I mean,
You can simply dedicate your meditation to whomever you want to be,
To be honest.
Right.
You can meditate and,
And choose a mantra and meditate and meditate and,
And dedicate it to the people of Ukraine.
We all,
There's a part for everybody to play in this,
Right?
All those affected by the war.
So that's what we are going to do today.
Of course,
We are going to meditate and send the love,
Send the positivity to the people of Ukraine and honestly,
Anyone else that is suffering that might need that little bit of,
You know,
Oomph,
Right?
So now here's the thing.
I'm sure that some of you are Reiki masters,
Energy healers,
And here's the bottom line.
Even if you don't think that you are today,
As we go through our meditation and sending love to the Ukraine,
Send that love energy through your hands and your heart.
Even if you think you can't,
Even if you think you aren't an energy healer or that you have that sort of power,
You can always just send love,
Send love,
Right?
How beautiful is that?
It's so,
So needed,
Right?
So our mantra slash chant for the day is Om Namah Shivaya.
It's a favorite,
You know?
Why it's so cool is that it evokes the five elements of existence,
Basically,
Right?
It evokes earth,
Water,
Fire,
Air,
And ether,
Which is space,
Right?
And it basically takes away negativity and it invites in peace and positivity.
So how perfect is that,
Right?
It's the perfect mantra for today,
Right?
So what we're going to do is we are going to chant it,
Okay?
And as I lead this chant,
You can sing along,
You can hum along,
You can do whatever you need to do.
You don't have to do anything.
You can just think it in your head,
Right?
But the idea is to dedicate it to the people that need it the most,
Whether that's Ukraine or somebody that you know that is really,
Really suffering.
