Hi and welcome to In the Flow with Lorie Albert,

A podcast designed to teach us to manifest our best lives in every moment and every day.

Let's get in the flow.

Let's talk about shifting our thoughts.

It's a perfect day for that.

What does that even mean to shift your thoughts,

Right?

And why do we need or want to shift our thoughts?

Right?

So today,

Here's the whole scoop in a nutshell.

In a very short period of time,

Right?

So here's the point.

If you want to attract a loving relationship with a significant other into your life,

You must begin to live and be love yourself in order to attract it.

Okay?

And this means to raise your vibration to that place of feeling love.

Even just in general,

It doesn't even have to be feeling the love of a significant other in terms of that.

So you just want to,

Because that raises your vibration,

Right?

A feeling of love will attract a loving relationship.

Right?

Now,

Here's the answer to the question.

How do we do that?

Like,

What is up with that?

Right?

Well,

This is what is shifting our thoughts.

Okay?

This is where,

To me,

It's the secret work of manifesting.

It's the secret work of manifesting.

Noticing and recognizing your thoughts and thought patterns.

Right?

That's,

And it's not the simplest thing to do.

And this is why,

Okay,

So I talk about taking a few days and really paying attention.

You're going to love this.

Really paying attention to the 60 to 80,

000 thoughts that you have every day.

Okay,

So maybe you don't pay attention to all of them.

Right?

I don't think anybody could really,

Really do that.

But maybe not all of them,

But as many as you can.

Right?

And begin to notice the patterns that you have.

Okay?

Like,

I'll give you an example.

You may notice that when a coworker comes to work and has this like new outfit on or something,

You may say to yourself,

Oh,

Why can't I look that good?

Or,

Oh,

They look so good and I look like crap today.

Oh,

You know,

You go to that place and it's ugh.

Right?

So here's the crux of the matter.

How can you attract a love relationship with a significant other when you have so many negative thoughts about yourself?

And I know we've all heard that 65,

000 times.

But here's how you fix that.

Think about this.

Right?

If you don't love or even like like yourself and allow yourself to continue thinking these horrible thoughts,

How in the world is anyone else going to love or like you?

Okay?

Now,

This is why we take a few minutes.

No,

We take a few days.

I don't mean minutes.

We take a few days to pay attention to that stupid,

Dumb little voice in our heads,

That critical thing.

And unfortunately,

We all have that.

Right?

We all have that terrible little voice inside that missed little critical thing.

Saying all this stuff to ourselves.

Okay?

But this is the work of manifesting and raising our vibration.

Okay?

You catch those thoughts.

Okay?

And that's why I say take a few days.

Don't try to do anything just for like two days.

Just notice your thoughts and notice the patterns.

Notice the triggers.

Okay?

And then what you do is you notice those thoughts.

And then after you start to understand why you're having or what what these thoughts are,

Forget about why for now.

Right?

But when you start to notice all these thoughts and the patterns and stuff,

Start to shift the sentence in your head.

Okay?

So when you catch yourself saying something like,

I look very large today.

Right?

You quickly catch that.

And you shift it to something.

You reframe it.

You change everything around and you say,

I love my body,

Mind and soul.

Right?

Does that make sense?

So here's the deal.

It's not the easiest thing to do.

I get that.

It's not the easiest thing to do.

But that's why we need to do it.

In order to invite love into your life and accept the love,

We must love and accept ourselves.

And how many times have you heard that?

But here's the way to fix that,

To do that.

Right?

And to take that even further.

Right?

Sometimes when you shift the comments in your head,

It may feel unbelievable.

It may feel like you're thinking to yourself,

Okay,

Yeah,

I'll shift it.

I love myself,

My body,

Mind and soul.

Really?

We all do that.

Right?

We all say,

Oh my God,

It feels so.

But yes,

The more you say these negative things,

I'm sorry,

The more you say these positive things to yourself and shift the negative to the positive.

You may not believe it at first,

But then you start to believe it and things and you'll notice that your mind starts going to a better place.

And the more you'll start to believe it.

That is the power of manifesting.

Right?

So I've told you guys probably many times about my car.

I wanted a convertible,

But it was never the right time or there was always things to pay,

You know,

Especially when you have kids.

There's always things to pay for.

Right?

College.

Oh my God.

Right?

However,

One day it was like,

And this is after doing this work,

Okay,

One day it's like it wasn't like the financial situation changed,

But it just was like,

Hey,

You know what?

I can go get a new car.

I can go get a new car.

And we just decided to go looking and I got it.

Now,

How did this happen?

How did that actually happen?

There were many reasons to not go get a new car.

The conversation in my head that I noticed that switched.

They deserve it.

But what have I done to deserve that?

You know,

So I'd see like a,

I'd see a Mustang on the road or any convertible actually on the road.

And I would say they deserve it.

But why would I deserve it?

Right?

Oh my gosh.

Crazy.

So what did I do?

I,

I wanted a new car.

I wanted it,

But I didn't think I deserved it.

Right?

So what did I do?

I pretended I had it.

Rolled down the windows of my SUV and would drive down the road pretending that it was a convertible.

I shifted my thoughts to,

I actually,

I actually do deserve this.

Why wouldn't I deserve this?

That was something that I used to say to myself all the time.

I still do.

Why wouldn't I?

Right?

So after noticing the silly,

Horrible things that we say to ourselves,

It may seem ridiculous to say,

I deserve whatever.

But the more we say it to ourselves,

The more we begin to believe it.

And then the more we consciously or unconsciously invite it into our lives.

Right?

So it can be consciously or unconsciously.

Right?

So here's the challenge.

And what have you got to lose?

Right?

What if I love that sentence?

What have you got to lose?

You know,

I could do a whole like,

I could do a whole podcast about that.

What have you got to lose?

Think about what you want in your life.

Whether it's a love relationship with a significant other or a car.

Take a day or two.

This is the challenge.

Take a day or two.

Notice your thoughts surrounding that thing.

Right?

And then.

When necessary,

Begin to shift those thoughts.

Keep it up and remember that this is the work part.

Shift your thoughts and pretend that you already have whatever it is,

The relationship or the car,

Whatever.

Right?

And keep your vibration high.

Keep saying to yourself,

I deserve this or,

You know.

And then watch what happens next.

It takes time.

Yes,

It does.

It will take time.

But you keep going.

So try it again.

This is again,

I'm going to say it again.

What do you have to lose?

What do you have to lose?

Right?

So let's meditate for just a few minutes on this because.

I love the affirmation today.

OK,

So let's close our eyes.

We're just going to sit for a few minutes and really repeat this affirmation to ourselves.

OK,

So let's take a deep breath in really slow.

And release it.

Perfect.

Our affirmation for today.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

How extraordinary.

You do deserve it.

But we repeat it to ourselves for ourselves.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

We just repeat this over and over to ourselves.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

Repeat that to yourself over and over.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

I deserve to be happy and joyful.

The challenge for today is to take this mantra with you for the rest of your day.

Even if it feels somehow not right,

Continue to say it to yourself.

Because you do deserve to be happy and joyful.
