Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
Today I want to talk about finding our bliss.
What does that mean exactly?
You know the word bliss means like,
I mean it,
I don't know,
When I hear the word or think of the word bliss,
I am like,
Wow,
That is like,
It's like ecstasy or you know what I mean?
Like bliss is like the ultimate happy,
Right?
And interestingly,
I wonder,
Do we even ever really truly experience bliss here on this planet?
Or when we cross over,
Is that when we experience bliss?
What is bliss,
Right?
Is it the ultimate happiness?
Interesting question,
Right?
And it's a little deep,
Which you know,
I love that because I love the idea of being happy,
Right?
I have been called the happy medium a lot in my life.
And it's just so fascinating to consider the idea of whatever,
What is happiness versus what is bliss?
You know?
And how do you find it?
Well guess what?
If there's any way to find bliss,
Which I love,
You know,
Like I said,
I love the idea of finding bliss,
You know,
I think it's through meditation.
I think it's through going into that stillness,
Going into that stillness of,
And that quiet in our soul.
And I think that's where we find the bliss.
Because our worlds are so filled with noise,
Don't you think?
Our world is so busy from the second we wake up till the second we go to sleep.
It's just busy.
You know?
I mean,
I don't even know if you guys know.
We have between 60 and 80 thousand thoughts a day.
That's like an incredible amount,
Right?
We're busy.
We lead busy lives.
We are,
You know,
We are just,
We're busy trying to make our way in the world,
Make our living,
Be different things to different people,
Be mothers and fathers and grandparents and children and aunts,
Uncles,
Everything.
That's who we are.
Lovers,
Friends,
All of it.
We try so hard to be everything to everybody.
But to find that bliss,
How do you do that?
And I truly believe that the way to find that is through meditation.
So sitting in the stillness,
That's what we're going to do today.
And fun enough,
I don't even know if that's a word.
We are going to meditate on finding the bliss.
Couldn't we just use a little bit of bliss?
You know,
I mean,
With everything going on in the world,
I mean,
Aside from our own world,
Stuff going on in the big world,
Right?
We could use just a little bit of bliss,
Right?
So that's what we're going to do.
We're going to meditate on the bliss.
Okay?
All right,
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
It's a bliss day.
I love that.
It's a day of bliss.
That's what we're focusing on today.
So get yourself comfortable,
Close your eyes whenever it feels right to you.
And we are going to meditate,
And our mantra today is going to be Ananda Hum.
Ananda Hum means I am bliss.
And just raise your vibration,
Just considering it right out of the gate,
Right?
So in raising our vibration just a little bit further,
Before we do this mantra,
Let's consider just a few things.
What brings you joy?
What brings you joy today?
It's so personalized and so individual.
What brings one person joy may freak out another person,
Right?
What brings you joy?
I had a friend that told me one time that deep sea diving brought her the ultimate joy.
But guess what?
I would be so freaked out if I went deep sea diving.
It just is not something I could ever do.
It has to do with past lives and all that stuff.
But we're all different that way,
Right?
So just even considering what brings us joy and what we are grateful for,
It starts to raise our vibration.
And then now that we're going to sit in the stillness and actually we're going to chant,
And you can listen to me chant,
You can hum along,
You can chant along with whatever feels right for you.
Whatever feels right.
But Ananda hum is what we are chanting.
Ananda hum.
And that means I am bliss.
Om.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Om.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Ananda hum.
Let's take a nice deep breath in,
Breathing in this beautiful bliss that we've called in for ourselves.
Breathe in.
And release.
When you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
I started smiling halfway through and I could not stop.
That,
Sitting in that stillness,
It's just,
It is bliss.
Right?
So,
I invite you to take that on today.
Ananda.
Ananda hum.
I am bliss.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
