Hello and welcome.
I'm Laura,
And this is the Sacred Return Meditation,
A guided meditation from My Aligned Life.
This is your invitation to soften,
To breathe,
To be supported.
Begin by lying down,
Making yourself as comfortable as possible.
Let your eyes gently close.
Let your body soften.
Let your breath begin to slow down.
Take three deep,
Clearing breaths.
Full inhale through the nose.
Slow exhales out of your mouth.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to arrive more fully in this moment.
Let the world outside fall away.
Now bring your awareness to where you are resting.
Feel the shape of your body,
The ground beneath you,
The quiet rhythm of your breath.
With every exhale,
Allow yourself to sink deeper into the support beneath you.
As if the earth is rising to meet you.
Begin to imagine the room around you softening,
The edges blurring,
Walls melting into sky.
The mat beneath you becomes warm,
Dry earth.
Soft blades of grass grow up around your limbs.
You can feel a gentle breeze moving through the air.
You can smell the faint sweetness of wildflowers.
The room has faded,
And you are held by something older,
Wiser,
More alive.
In your mind's eye,
See your bare feet resting on warm,
Sunlit grass.
You're standing at the top of a quiet hill,
Overlooking a wide open landscape painted in golden light.
The late afternoon sun warms your skin,
And the wind carries the soft scent of wildflowers and earth.
There's a path ahead of you,
Just faint enough to be felt,
Winding down through the tall grass.
With every step,
You feel the cool blades brushing against your skin,
Grounding you,
Reminding you of the support beneath you.
Wild roses and honeysuckle grow along the edges.
They're sent calm and familiar.
You hear bees drifting from flower to flower,
The air alive with the rhythm of life,
Gentle,
Easy,
Natural.
A tiny,
White butterfly appears and flutters ahead of you,
And you follow it.
It leads you into a grove of trees where dappled sunlight dances on the forest floor.
There's a stillness here,
A sacred hush.
You can feel something shift in your body,
Like your nervous system understands this is a safe place.
The wind stirs through the branches,
And the hum of the bees grows just slightly louder,
Like the pulse of the earth is rising to meet you.
More butterflies begin to appear,
Swirling through the air in delicate patterns.
You watch as they begin to gather,
Faster and brighter,
Until they form something luminous.
Slowly,
They take the shape of a woman,
Tall,
Radiant,
Strong.
Her wings shimmer in white and gold,
And she feels both wild and deeply wise.
She looks at you with recognition,
With reverence.
Her presence speaks to the part of you that remembers your own strength,
That knows what it is to endure,
That knows how to begin again.
With a voice like honey and wind,
She speaks,
Welcome,
Sacred one.
You feel her invitation not to be saved,
But to be seen,
To be met.
You stand in her presence,
Feeling the quiet power that flows from her into everything around you.
The trees,
The flowers,
The soil beneath your feet,
The strength within your own breath.
You don't need to do anything here.
You don't need to explain.
Just take a few moments in this space.
Let your body receive what it needs.
Let your heart speak what it wants.
Let yourself be reminded that you are not alone.
And in the stillness,
She speaks to you.
You've always known the way back to yourself,
Even when the world asked you to forget,
Even when fear felt louder than the truth.
I am not outside of you.
I am the strength in your breath,
The stillness in your knowing,
The quiet power that rises when you remember.
You were never meant to do this alone.
Eventually,
The light around her begins to fade,
But her energy remains the same.
You feel it now,
Not just in the grove,
But within you,
In your bones,
In your muscles,
In your breath.
In the quiet knowing that you are connected to something far greater than the fear or the past.
The tiny white butterfly lifts into the air again,
Guiding you back toward the path.
Slowly,
You begin to walk back up the hill.
With each step,
You return more fully to this breath,
This moment,
This body,
This voice like honey and wind.
Notice the way your body feels.
The weight of your limbs.
The air brushing across your skin.
The ground beneath you steady.
Slowly,
Gently rock your head side to side.
Begin to swirl or twirl your fingers,
Your toes,
Your ankles.
Reach your arm overhead or roll your shoulders.
Soften your jaw.
And when it feels right,
Bring one hand to your heart,
The other to your belly.
Take one slow,
Steady breath in through the nose,
Fill all the way up.
Gently release.
Let it all go.
Let this final breath seal this practice in,
A remembering,
A return.
And as you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open.
Welcome back.
