In this lovely meditation I'm going to take you on a journey to a magic castle and when you go to the castle you're going to be able to do a little bit of exploring using your amazing imagination.
So I'd like you to get yourself nice and comfortable,
Make sure you feel nice and cosy,
Give your arms a lovely stretch and wriggle those fingers.
And now do the same as your legs,
Stretch those legs,
Feel nice and comfy and wriggle your toes and give the rest of your body a little wriggle as well and just make sure you feel really relaxed.
Okay,
Now that you're nice and relaxed and comfortable I'd like you to close your eyes and just find yourself relaxing so gently,
So perfectly.
And as you're relaxing there I'd like you to become aware of a door in front of you.
See that door and you notice there's no handles or locks on the door,
Just the word release.
Contemplate this word,
Feel its meaning and when you're ready to release and just let go the door will open.
And out in front of you there may be a simple path leading through a forest and it's a wonderful day as you walk through this forest thinking about your purpose,
Thinking about why you're on this journey.
Going deeper and deeper inside your mind,
Allowing your unconscious mind to really show you how to grow as a person and you look around you and you can see the trees.
And the trees are exactly how you want them to be,
So they might be tall trees,
They might be shorter trees,
They might be full of leaves or maybe they don't have any leaves on them at all.
You see the trees exactly how you want to see them.
Look around the trees as if any flowers and think about the colours of the flowers that you can see.
How the grass is there are the leaves on the ground.
You start to grow,
Picture exactly what this forest looks like and it's a place that you feel really comfortable and safe in.
It's just for you.
Maybe you're experiencing a little slight breeze from the air,
Maybe it's a warm breeze or a cool breeze.
You know exactly how it feels.
And think about sounds that you can hear.
Can you hear any animals in the forest?
There could be rabbits somewhere rustling around.
All these lovely noises.
Birds singing away in the trees.
It's a lovely place.
You feel really happy here.
And as you progress deeper and deeper you see that up ahead the path forks.
To the left is an unused path and it's overgrown with bushes.
It's thick,
It's choked with weeds.
Strays ahead the path continues on,
It's unobstructed,
It's smooth,
It's clear and it's easy.
And to the right there's something murky,
Dark and even mysterious about the way this path looks.
So I'd like you to think of your purpose today.
Feel your purpose inside.
Feel why you would like to do this journey,
What you'd like it to help you with.
Can you decide which of these paths resonates with that purpose the most?
Which one feels right for you?
And take your path,
Choose it and know it's the right one because it feels right for you.
Well you need to struggle through unknown territories.
Will your path be easy and laid out ahead of you?
Or is your journey one to the unknown mysteries but you can grow?
And you walk that path and enjoy that process knowing that soon you'll reach a castle,
A magical castle.
And in that castle there's an experience and it's waiting just for you.
You can see what really goes on in this castle because you get to decide.
So go ahead and approach the castle now.
You see the door and you open it and you step inside.
And now I wonder what kind of room that you're in.
It could be a great hall or a library with lots of books in it.
Perhaps you're in the courtyard or a kitchen.
Or maybe you're in a bedroom or a bathroom or a playroom.
Or are you going to go outside and explore the gardens?
Or you even go down to the depths of the dungeons and the labyrinth under the castle.
You choose the location that you wish to explore right now.
The one that will achieve your purpose.
The one that will help you today.
And I'll be silent to let you explore that on your own for a while.
That's right,
Really learn from this experience.
Maybe you can take something with you.
A symbol,
An object,
An idea.
Some portion of this experience that you can take back to the outside world with you that will set you on your path towards achieving what you came here for.
So go ahead and take that idea,
That thought,
That symbol,
Whatever it is that you got from that experience,
And take it with you.
Maybe internalize it.
So as you step out of the room,
It merges and it blends with you and it becomes a part of you.
Now just before we come out of the castle,
We see another door.
And you look through the door.
There's a little bit of glass in this door and you look through it.
And in that door,
You look through and you see someone who's familiar.
You see yourself.
But this is you in the future.
This is an older version of you.
This is you when your changes have been made as well.
So I don't know when it is,
It could be a day,
A week,
A month,
A year,
Or even more.
But your unconscious mind knows.
I want you to notice how different you look through that window.
You're busy but you're going about your day,
But you have a different energy about you,
A different confidence,
A different way of doing things.
Clearly you've made the changes that needed to be made.
You've let go,
You've released whatever it was that was holding you back.
And I want you to notice how different,
How different you look.
Now I know that they're really busy,
But why don't you open that door?
Step into the room and say hello.
And in fact,
While you're there,
Why don't you ask future you how they did it,
How they got where they are.
Go and ask them and see what they say.
I'll give you a little bit of time to do that now.
Pause.

Okay,
Well,
You can see they're busy and they have things to do.
So just thank them and give them a hug.
Give them a really big hug and let them know how much love you have for them.
And I want you to feel that love from them to you as well.
Oh,
And feel that energy,
That beautiful,
Loving energy.
So now it's time to come back out of the room and the door will close behind you.
But just before we go,
Just have a quick look back through the door,
Out the window with a smile and you know that this is you.
And so now we're going to leave the castle and you step back outside and you're going to return the same way that you came.
Now whichever way you came,
You note how the path looks a bit different now and it feels a bit more right.
It's your path.
No one can walk this path but you.
So walk the path back to your starting point and enjoy the forest,
The sounds of the birds and the trees,
Slight breeze against your skin and the sunlight dappling through the leaves.
Breathe freely and enjoy knowing that your inner mind is on your side and will help you achieve what you came to achieve.
So enjoy slowly,
Gradually,
Pleasantly returning on your path as your mind integrates,
Internalizes and settles in on the lessons and learnings that your inner mind has prepared just for you.
Feel yourself coming back step by step.
Find the relationship you're beginning to build inside.
It's a good relationship.
Tapping into that place inside you which is the most powerful.
The place where the healing takes place and the place where your future can be created.
And look around you again and just notice any of these changes that you can feel and you can see.
And whenever you're ready you see the door and you step back through it and you come back into the room.
And now it's up to you.
If it's bedtime and you're sleepy you can just drift into a beautiful peaceful night's sleep and you'll wake in the morning feeling so refreshed and really happy having enjoyed your journey.
But if it's not time to go to sleep now you'll come back into the room with your eyes open and you'll feel refreshed and alert and simply fantastic having enjoyed a wonderful journey inside your mind.
