Good morning.
Happy Sunday,
July 5th,
2020.
It's early morning.
It's shortly after 6.
And I've been resting in bed probably the last hour or so.
I can look out my window and I see the sun in the trees.
And I can see a subtle breeze blowing the leaves.
The sky is blue.
And in the background I can hear the birds chirping their familiar bird song.
I trust that you have found a comfortable place for yourself,
Ideally sitting so that you don't fall asleep.
Your eyes can be soft in a gaze or your eyes gently closed,
Whatever feels like you can draw your energy inward.
And ideally,
If your eyes are open,
Your gaze is maybe towards the tip of your nose.
It's not on anything outside of yourself.
We all are consciousness.
We are actually not consciousness.
We are more than that.
And we are not our outside experiences.
We are not our human form or body.
And we are not our thoughts.
And we are not our emotions.
What we are is an observer of all these things.
We witness them.
That's all that's going on.
And the only difference is where we focus.
Are we focused on the outer or are we focused on the inner?
What you begin to realize is when you focus inward,
There is infinite energy that resides inside of all of us.
And this energy isn't dependent on your food or your sleep.
We've all been in moments deprived of sleep and food.
Yet when someone we love or excited about comes along,
All of a sudden there is this wellspring of infinite energy from nowhere.
And this infinite energy never tires.
It is always available.
It's not finite.
It's incredibly infinite.
But what it depends on or where it comes from is your heart,
Your soul,
And what it affects or what is affected by it are your thoughts and your emotions.
It is always available to you.
And the way that you find it is to be brave,
Courageous,
And to choose never to close,
To never let life's experiences or other people allow you to close your heart to this infinite energy that's inside of you.
It's a simple concept that for our lives and how we live them feels maybe challenging for you.
We think when other people have done something that we need to protect ourselves and close off.
And we don't need to protect.
When we close,
We are not protecting.
We are shedding that infinite energy of love and compassion and healing.
We're closing it off.
We're shedding that wellspring of energy off to ourselves.
We're not protecting anything.
Closing is really a habit.
And for example,
If you're a person that is maybe having an underlying fear of meeting people,
Then immediately when you meet or come in contact with people,
Especially new people,
You have this underlying habit of just closing your heart off,
Of closing the energy off.
And then this energy starts to just slowly wither away and you feel exhausted and tired all the time.
Life doesn't feel very enthusiastic or very exciting.
And this closing can even be just our perspectives,
Our past experiences.
Right?
If dinner with your family was wonderful,
Where there was conversation and great food,
And when you smell that certain food,
There's an openness,
An energy of love towards you that exudes outward into the world and to everyone around you.
But if,
For example,
Dinner with your family was Fuji disliked and the energy of those experiences was somehow negative,
Then immediately when you smell those foods or think of those times,
You close.
You close your heart.
You close this infinite energy.
You close to love.
You close to life.
And the world around you feels that energy.
It's really up to you.
It's your choice if you open or if you close.
There's nothing in life,
In life's experiences or situations,
That is worth closing yourself to this love and this energy.
Nothing.
Nothing is worth it.
A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream.
And the next day she met another traveler who was hungry.
And the wise woman opened her bag to share her food.
The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him.
She decided to do so without hesitation.
And the traveler left,
Rejoicing in his good fortune.
He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime.
But a few days later,
He came back to return the stone to the wise woman.
I've been thinking,
He said,
I know how valuable this stone is,
But I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious.
Please give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone.
Today,
I dare you to be different,
To embrace all of life's situations and people with openness and feel the energy,
The infinite energy of love and love.
You see,
Nothing in this world is ever worth closing your heart to love.
Wishing you a day of experiences to stay open.
