Hi,
My name is Kelly and today we are practicing a meditation for self-compassion.
Let's close our eyes in a comfortable position.
You may choose to sit,
Lie down,
Or lean against a wall,
A couch,
A bed,
Or any other surface,
But if in a chair,
Have your feet planted on the floor.
Keep your back,
Your spine,
Long,
Tall,
Balanced,
And feel free to rest your arms,
Your palms,
Wherever feels comfortable for you.
Now let's start by bringing our attention to the breath.
Our beautiful breath and its sensations.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Feeling your belly rise as you fill your lungs with air.
And slowly exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any tension or worries that you might have.
Now bring your attention to your heart chakra,
Your heart center.
Picture a beautiful light radiating for your heart chakra,
And you're receiving this fluid of love.
Imagine yourself walking in a beautiful,
Vast forest.
Imagine yourself walking in a beautiful,
Vast forest.
When you suddenly came upon a creek.
When you look at the serene water,
You see your image into this creek.
Think of a recent moment when you felt disappointment,
Frustration,
Or criticism.
As you hold this image in your mind's eye,
Just slowly start shifting the narrative.
Imagine what you would say to a friend in the same situation.
And think of all kindness,
Understanding,
And compassion you would provide.
Offer the same words of kindness,
Understanding,
And compassion to yourself.
You may even say silently,
I'm doing my best.
I forgive myself,
And I'm worthy of love and compassion.
And while you're looking at yourself deeply in this reflection,
Feel this fluid of love flowing from your heart to your reflection in the water.
And if you want to,
If you feel so,
You can also repeat in your mind's eye I'm worthy of love and compassion.
I embrace myself fully,
And I honor my journey and my growth.
I'm worthy of love and compassion.
I embrace myself fully,
And I honor my journey and my growth.
And so it is.
And when you're ready,
Slowly make your way back to where we started.
Gently reflecting on the love you nurtured for yourself,
And feeling this fluid of energy.
Deeply in your heart,
Slowly bring your awareness to where you are,
And gently open your eyes.
This meditation was meant to work on our self-love,
And our self-compassion,
So we cultivate a love for our inner being.
Thank you for joining me today.
Namaste.
You
