Hi there!
My name is Kelly and today we are practicing a breathing space to energize and invigorate you throughout your day.
Let's close our eyes in a comfortable position.
You may choose to sit,
Lie down or lean against a surface that is more comfortable for you.
But if sitting in a chair,
Have your feet grounded on the floor.
Keep your back,
Your spine long,
Tall,
Balanced.
You feel free to rest your arms and your palms wherever feels comfortable for you.
Now let's start by noticing our current state.
Observe your mental activity.
The four thoughts through your mind,
Without trying to change them.
Just let them pass.
Now gently shift your focus to your body.
Notice any areas of sleepiness or tension.
Acknowledge how your body feels without judgment.
Now consider how you're feeling energetically.
Are you tired?
Sluggish?
A bit awake?
Whatever your energy level,
Simply observe it without trying to change it.
Now slowly bring your attention to the breath,
Our beautiful breath.
You start to deepen your breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Filling your belly and chest.
Expand and slowly exhale through the mouth.
A bit more forcefully,
As if you're trying to fog up a mirror.
This is what energizing breath that helps you clear your mind and refresh your body.
Continue with this breathing pattern for a few moments.
Feel the breath bring your light and energy through the in-breaths and release tension,
Fatigue and tiredness during the out-breath.
Visualize this energy as a bright invigorating light,
Making you feel lighter and more vibrant.
As you continue with this breath,
Expand your awareness to all parts of your body,
Reaching the top of your head,
Flowing all the way to the tips of your fingers and toes.
And feel this bright,
Invigorating and energizing light take over your entire being.
And with each breath,
Feel yourself more awakened and energized.
Dissolving in the areas of tension,
Worry or fatigue.
And when you're ready,
You slowly bring your awareness to where you are.
Becoming aware of the surface beneath you.
Becoming attuned to the sounds around.
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
And gently opening your eyes.
Thank you for joining me today.
Namaste.
