Welcome to this time of gratitude practice.
Thank you for being here.
Whether you're joining others or taking this quiet moment for yourself.
Let's begin by settling into a posture that feels supportive and comfortable.
So taking a moment to arrive fully in this space.
There's nothing you need to fix or change.
Just simply allow yourself to be present with whatever you're experiencing right now.
Now.
Bring gentle attention to your breath.
As you breathe in.
Imagine drawing an appreciation for this moment.
And as you breathe out.
Release any tension or worry you may be carrying.
Each breath.
Invite a sense of openness.
Space for gratitude to naturally arise.
There's no pressure to feel anything specific.
Simply breathe and allow.
If it helps,
You can silently offer,
I am grateful for this breath.
For this moment.
For this opportunity to pause.
Now bring a brownness to your body.
This amazing vessel that carries you through life.
Starting from your feet.
Gently scan upward.
For an appreciation for each part.
Thank you,
Feet.
For supporting me.
Thank you,
Legs.
For carrying me through my days.
Move through your entire body at your own pace.
Acknowledging each part with gratitude.
If any area feels uncomfortable,
You can simply send it loving appreciation for all it does.
Now bring to mind someone who has shown you kindness.
Family member,
Friend.
Teacher.
Or even a stranger.
See their face,
And remember their kindness.
Send them gratitude.
Thank you for your care.
For your presence in my life.
And for the ways you've supported me.
If it feels right.
Expand the circle.
Thinking of others who have touched your life with love.
Guidance or simple human connection.
Now turn your attention to the simple blessings of daily life.
Perhaps morning sunlight.
A warm cup of tea.
The sound of rain.
A comfortable home.
Or even access to food.
Let yourself really feel appreciation for these gifts that we sometimes take for granted.
Allow gratitude to fill your heart as you acknowledge life's everyday miracles.
Place a hand on your heart if that feels comfortable.
Repeat silently or aloud.
I carry gratitude with me.
I see blessing in both joy and challenge.
My grateful heart.
Is a gift to the world.
Repeat any of these phrases that resonate most deeply with you.
Or if you have phrases of your own,
You would like to spend a moment or two repeating.
You can do that too.
As we prepare to close.
I invite you to take a moment to set an intention for how you might carry this grateful awareness into the rest of your day.
Perhaps you'll notice one beautiful thing on your way home.
Maybe you'll express appreciation to someone you love.
Or simply remember to pause and breathe gratitude when you need grounding.
Begin to slowly deepen your breath.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Carrying this grateful heart with you.
