Sometimes we become a bit unsettled and would need to practice a form of grounding in order for us to move on to our next activity in a mindful way.
I'd like to invite you to take a moment,
Whether you are at home,
In your chair or lying down,
Sitting in your car and gently close your eyes.
Keep your whole body in awareness just for this moment and notice what your body is feeling at present.
Pay special attention to your inhale and exhale,
Keeping the natural rhythm of your breath steady and not interfering with it in any way.
Just simply feel it as the breath enters your body and as it exits your body.
Take a deep breath in and let it out slowly and gently.
Feel how the cool air enters your nostrils and feel the air moving through your body and exhaling.
Take another deep breath in,
Slowly and gently,
Noticing how the air moves through your body.
Take a moment to let your breathing find its own rhythm again and feel that sensations in and out.
If there are any thoughts or feelings that arise,
Just simply notice them,
Do not suppress them and just observe them.
But let your attention rest with your breath.
Take a moment and when you are ready,
Allow your eyes to gently open and take in your surroundings.
