Rumi said,

When you do things from your soul,

You feel a river moving in you,

A joy.

Welcome to our meditation today.

My name is Kim from Mindfulness Manor and it's my pleasure to walk you through our meditation.

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.

Either cross-legged on a cushion or with your feet flat on the ground.

Take a moment to get comfortable and settle in.

I invite you to take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely and exhale slowly through your mouth.

And repeat this breathing exercise two more times.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling the lungs with air and slowly exhale.

Again,

Take a deep breath in,

Filling the lungs with air and slowly exhaling.

As you're focusing on your breath,

Bring to mind something that you enjoy doing.

It can be anything big or small,

But something that brings you true joy.

Take a moment to visualize yourself performing this activity or spending time with this person.

And begin to feel the positive emotions associated with it.

Allow yourself to fully immerse in this experience.

Noticing the sights,

Sounds and sensations that comes with it.

Feel the emotions of happiness and contentment that arise from this visualization.

What brings you gratitude in this moment?

Maybe you're grateful for your health,

Your family and friends,

Or even just the fact that you have a roof over your head and food to eat.

Whatever it may be,

Take some time to appreciate it.

As you settle into your gratitude and as you continue to focus on your breath and this beautiful joyful activity that you have just brought to mind,

Remind yourself that you are worthy and deserve to experience joy and happiness in your life.

Bringing you back to your breath,

Imagine a river flowing within you and this river represents your inner self,

Your passions,

Your purpose.

Visualize the river becoming stronger and more powerful as you connect with your true self and do things that bring you joy.

And as this river flows through you,

It washes you with happiness,

Contentment and gratitude.

Allowing yourself to feel the joy and fulfillment that comes with living authentically.

This does not mean that we minimize any difficult circumstances that we experience,

But instead use it as a catalyst for growth and resilience and that your inner self deserves to be nourished and celebrated.

Take another deep inhale through your nose and as you exhale,

Slowly open your eyes and take a moment to reflect on the experience and perhaps notice any changes in your mindset or emotions.

Remember this special river is always flowing.

It's waiting for you to connect with it and allow it to guide you towards the joy you seek.

Go ahead and have a beautiful day.
