Life is full of ups and downs,
Right?
We can all agree on that at least.
But are you the same being when you're winning or losing?
Take a moment to disconnect from the world around you.
Stress about bills,
Savings,
Retirement.
It can keep us all up at night.
Getting grounded will help ease your worries and transition into a positive mindset.
Doesn't that sound nice?
So find a comfortable place sitting on the floor,
On a yoga mat or pillow,
Or lying down on a mat or in a bed.
Make sure there are no distractions.
Now let's begin to breathe nice and slow and deep here.
Breathe in and out.
When you wake up in the morning,
Do you know what conflicts you will face?
Or do you hope that none arise?
The answer to this question tells a lot about yourself and about how you live your life.
Picture yourself at the bottom of a mountain.
Now look up towards the top,
Past all the rocks and snow and steep hills.
What is at the top for you?
Who is there?
Imagine yourself at the bottom of that giant mountain.
What shoes are you wearing?
Are they warm on your feet?
The climb is going to be treacherous,
Cold and lonely.
What do you hope is at the top?
What desire will keep you going when the journey gets tough?
Now imagine taking the first step.
Now breathe.
Take one more step.
Keep breathing.
You've reached the top.
It's time to return back down.
This journey will be just as long,
But less treacherous.
This time you can reminisce about your accomplishments along the way.
Think of something you're so proud of.
You're back at the bottom.
Time to warm up with some hot tea and a crackling fire.
Slowly open your eyes and start to feel yourself grounded on the earth again.
Start to move your fingers and toes,
Maybe your neck back and forth and roll your wrists.
You've come a long way.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Namaste.
