Take three deep grounding breaths and close your eyes.

Find a comfortable position sitting or lying on the ground.

For the next few moments,

No one needs anything from you and this is your time to relax and tap into your inner child and begin to peel back the layers of everything you've been holding on to and everything you're ready to let go of.

Begin to breathe slowly in and out with every inhalation breathing in more relaxation,

Peace and calming and with every exhale breathing out more fear,

Anxiety and barriers.

In with peace and calming and relaxation out with fear,

Anxiety and barriers.

And as you do this begin to feel your breath travel from the tips of your toes to the top of your head all the way in and all the way out and as you do this your body relaxes more and more with every breath.

And when you're ready begin to see your mind's eye the safest place you can think of.

Maybe it's your bedroom.

Maybe it's a beach.

Maybe it's a quiet patch of woods.

But begin to see it and notice what it looks like,

What it feels like and what it sounds like to be there.

And breathe that peace and safety and relaxation in.

And when you're ready begin to see yourself as you are now.

Notice and observe what you see,

What you feel,

What you're thinking,

What you're hearing,

Everything about you in this moment.

And as you do that notice how this feels in your body.

To see yourself in this moment.

Maybe there's something you're ready to let go of.

Maybe there's something that no longer serves you.

What is that thing?

What does it look like?

What does it feel like?

What does it sound like?

And how are you going to feel when you let go of this forever?

And as you think about that,

See yourself in this moment and imagine yourself peeling back a layer of who you are.

Getting closer to your core,

Your essence and your inner child.

And as you peel back that layer,

You take with it whatever that is that you're ready to let go of.

And as you peel back the layer,

What do you find underneath?

Who is underneath that layer?

What's going on?

What do you discover that you forgot you had?

Maybe it's a hidden talent.

Maybe it's a beautiful surprise.

Maybe it's a memory.

Maybe it's a feeling.

Whatever that is,

Acknowledge it.

Say hello.

Embrace it and invite it back into your life.

And now that you've done that,

We're going to repeat the process again.

So in this level of who you are,

Is there something here that you're ready to let go of?

A fear?

A thought?

A pattern?

A person?

Begin to see it in your mind's eye.

Who is it?

What is it?

How does it no longer serve you?

And are you ready to let it go?

And when you're ready,

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Peel the layer back.

And as you peel the layer back and you exhale,

Let go of whatever that is that you're ready to let go of.

And notice what you find underneath.

Who are you now?

What have you found?

What has been hiding underneath that layer?

Say hello.

Embrace it.

Give it a kiss.

Give it a hug.

Welcome it back into your life and celebrate.

And now when you're ready,

We're going to repeat the process again.

In this layer of who you are,

What is lying here that you're ready to let go of?

Is it a thought?

Is it a person?

Is it a memory?

What does it look like?

What does it feel like?

What does it sound like?

Are you ready to let go of this now?

And when you're ready,

Deep inhalation,

Big exhale,

And as you breathe out,

Remove that layer of who you are.

And what do you find underneath?

How does it feel to let that go?

What do you see?

What have you uncovered?

What have you discovered about the person who you are that's been hiding underneath?

Say hello.

Welcome it back.

Embrace it fully.

And continue to breathe in and out.

And then when you're ready,

We're going to repeat this process one more time,

Just to get one layer closer to who you are.

And in this layer,

What is lying there that you've discovered that you're ready to let go of?

Is it a thought?

Is it a fear?

Maybe it's a memory?

What does it look like?

What does it feel like?

What does it sound like?

How are you going to feel when you let this go?

Are you ready to let go of it now?

And then when you're ready,

Peel back that layer.

And as you peel back that layer,

You're going to exhale and breathe it out into the universe.

And as you do that,

What do you find underneath?

What is hidden?

What have you been waiting for?

What have you been looking for?

What has been hiding?

Give it a hug.

Welcome it back and say hello.

And now that you've done this,

Four layers have been removed.

What do you look like now?

What do you feel like now?

What does it sound like?

How does it feel in your body to be at the center of your being?

Who are you?

What can you achieve?

What can you do with this beautiful energy that you've just uncovered?

And then when you're ready,

You're going to call back that original version of yourself,

The one that began,

So that you can see the beautiful person that's been hidden inside all these years.

And you're going to bring the two together with an embrace,

With a hug,

With a dance,

With a kiss,

Whatever it is for the two of you to meet once again.

And how does that feel?

What does that look like?

What does that sound like?

What can you do now that you've found this person again?

Anything is possible.

Anything at all.

And when you're ready,

Come back into the room,

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Open your eyes,

And don't forget to take a deep breath.

Open your eyes,

And always remember the beautiful person that's been hiding underneath.

I enjoyed repeating the layers. So often during guided meditations, I wish to go back and listen again because I got so deeply relaxed I feel I missed something. The structure of this meditation is great. I’ll be practicing with it regularly I think.
