Hello and welcome to this 10-minute Do Nothing Awareness Meditation.
The purpose of this 10-minute meditation is to be just present in the moment and be aware of whatever is happening in the now.
Take a comfortable position.
You may be sitting on a chair or on the floor.
Back straight,
Eyes gently closed.
All focus,
All attention on the breath for a bit.
Watching the breath coming in and watching the breath going out.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Settling into the breath and then just resting.
Resting in the now.
Being aware of only the present moment.
If a thought is arising,
Noticing it,
Letting it pass,
And coming to the present moment.
It may be a little chill in the air or it might be warm.
The body might be a little stiff.
Or there might be any sensation in some body part.
Noticing without any judgment.
And just being.
No past,
No future.
Only the present moment.
Being just here,
Here and now.
The mind may wander.
It might wander into the past or the future.
Thinking about an event,
An incident,
About someone.
And notice what emotion that causes within.
Is there a sense of pride?
Sense of hurt?
Anger?
Frustration?
Happiness?
Sadness?
Can be anything.
Noticing it,
And disassociating.
Watching the emotion as an emotion.
Letting it pass.
Not getting involved into the emotion,
Not associating with the emotion.
It is the way it is.
If there is any pain or numbness in any body part,
Watching it,
Observing,
Noticing,
Again disassociating.
Pain is pain.
Asking to whom is it arising?
There is an I,
There is something which feels this pain.
Cutting that cord.
Disassociating the I from the pain.
Pain is,
But suffering is not.
Sitting quietly,
Gently,
Peacefully.
Everything is perfect the way it is.
Relishing the present moment.
And gently opening the eyes.
Thank you.
Have a beautiful day ahead.
